  1. Let the pro's do it

Just had the engine oil changed for the 4th time at local best Ford dealer in Phx. Got it home and immediately found it was leaking oil. Took a look and wiped out the small filter drain collector, thinking it may be residue from oil change. Continued to leak, actually was dripping off the...
  2. Passanger grab handle

Hello all, I have searched in previous threads but cannot find anyone who has installed a passanger side grab handle up high by your head. I was considering adding a slightly barbaric solution to this, by using self tapping screws and a simple leather (like) pull. I also know there is many wires...
  3. Tire pressure question

So the 18 inch blackout wheels/tires only need 30 psi. The stock 17's on my 2020 XLT calls for 38 psi. It seems that once the pressure in all tires is high enough (36psi) to shut off all tire pressure monitors, I can drop pressure back to 32 (for a significantly better ride) without tripping...
  4. High mileage ranger

Check out this post, here in AZ on CL- of a 4x4 base model Ranger XL 2019 with 134k miles. Looks good- seats look like new. Can someone run the vin and report the service on this unit? The Chevy dealer who has it wants 21k.
  5. Consumer Reports Gets is right (this time)

Ford Rangers received a all green arrows up on the 20 and 21 and nearly all green on the 19. They say however that the handling is clumsy - compared to what? perhaps a Mustang. Check out the ratings on the attachment. I can say this: with 10k miles NOT ONE problem with mine.
  6. Tire pressure

I have searched this site to see if any one knows how to recalibrate the computer to allow 18 inch Ford Blackout rims @ 32 psi VS the factory 17 inch tire wheel combo @ 38 psi. currently running about 38 psi to get the TPMS to not show error, and it is a bit rough with the FX4 package. Basically...
  7. Consumer Reports has HUA

I pay close attention to CR read it closely and cannot help but be amazed by how a product is either great- and then- no good ie: Tesla model S What has me concerned is how they make these points about the Ranger: The ride is Stiff and choppy- my truck rides great- are there moments of stiffness...
  8. First time using 4x4

Got back from Flagstaff yesterday after spending time in the woods with about 14 inches of snow . This truck seems like it will go anywhere you point it. (up until you are stuck) which I am pleased to say I did not do. Just for grins I put it in 2 wheel drive and engaged the 1 mph crawl through...
