So, after ~62 months, my luck has finally run out. I turned the Ranger on this morning and all was fine for about 30 seconds, then it switched to ch1 and that was it. Time for a new truck! :)
Changed the oil today. It's a once a year tradition, as I am at ~14k miles in 5 years.

In my opinion, it's the worst of both worlds. :) You get the maintenance requirements of an ICE, along with the battery concerns of a BEV. I do understand that for the majority of people, especially those who travel a lot, the hybrid is a better option.

Is the parking lot clean, or covered in snow? I've honestly never even driven my Ranger in the snow, but would assume it worked like other 4x4's I've had. If the parking lot was plowed, I would take it out of full-time 4WD or have your issue.
