Wanted to swap my 2019 XLT for a new RaptorâŠbut the CFO said âNo, not until we can afford that around-the-world cruiseâ I apparently promised her back in the day.
So instead, I decided to buy every aftermarket âbolt onâ piece I could find and turn my stock Ranger into the âultimate...
OTOH, âWEâ are undoubtedly the most intelligent, most well informed, objective, patient, thoughtful, creativeâŠand probably best lookingâŠof all Ranger ownersđ.
Great points all; thanks!
As an early, original 2019 ownerâŠIâve tried to follow folksâ experience with this issue since it started to surface.
Weâd already determined that the internal binding is temperature related, hence the random âon-again/off-againâ nature that results as the âinternalsâ...
My 2019 XLT currently has 66,900 miles. At @ 65K miles, I started to experience the âasymmetricâ A/C scenario with cold air blowing out the right side, and extremely hot air coming out the left. It was random and sporadic, and would often heal itself, so I ignored it for a few months.
Then...
My 2019âs fluid was coffee-colored with an extremely dirty filter at 65,000 miles. Never towed anything. So, I wonder: Has anyone gone Fordâs whole â150,000 milesâ before servicing itâŠwithout any issues?
Agree weâre a small subset of Ranger owners. We have learned that some of the transmission âwoesâ actually ARE the 10R80 eating itself alive. Others are DPFE valve issues masquerading as tranny issues.
Either way, one thing I am certain of: Thereâs no way Iâd wait until 150,000 miles before...
NoâŠbut probably really a ânot yetâ: 2019 w/65K miles. Extremely dirty ATF & filter. Hard shifts, some surging into 4th, low-speed hunting in 7-10 gears. Off-idle stumble when accelerating. Was going to trade it in for a yellow dog, then shoot the dogâŠbut I like dogs too much. Swapped out the...
Obviously itâs not a magic cure for all the reported transmission problems, but it sure improved mineâs behavior. It is a pain in the butt to reach the tubing connections; if only the hood opened another inch!
Thinking about trading it? Every darn day. I paid cash for mine in 2019 and enjoyed being the âonly one in townâ for quite a while. I always loved the EcoBoost performance and even more so when I installed an MBRP exhaust. Gas mileage was not an âaffordability issueâ when I bought it, although...
Iâm original owner of a 2019 XLT w/65K miles. Itâs bone stock except for MBRP exhaust; never had a âtuneâ. Lots of highway mileage; I donât tow. At 60K miles, started to exhibit what I thought were trans-only related issues: Hard/âclunkyâ shifts, âbuckingâ, especially in higher gears (7-10)...
Iâm the original owner of a 2019 XLT FX4 with 65,000 miles. Itâs bone stock except for an MBRP exhaust. Itâs never had a âtuneâ; I donât tow with it and a lot of the mileage is highway. At @ 60,000 miles, it started to exhibit issues I thought were transmission-only related: Shifts were...
Shedding my stock, well-cared-for, Hankooks on my 2019 XLT this week at 39,000 mileâŠ& a lot of it highway. Developed very strange wear pattern in frontâŠwheel alignment in spec. Switching to Wildpeaks; already have Cooper AT3 on an FJ-40 Land Cruiser.
If itâs dentedâŠbetter strap in. Cheap, double-walled boxâŠ.no access from âinsideââŠyouâre looking at a skin graft. This ding ended up costing north of $6,000..
