  1. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

How long have you been waiting? Are they replacing the entire drive shaft or just the bearing?
  2. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

Interesting. Mine does not sound anything like that, at least not yet. They only mentioned the driveshaft and weren't specifc about bearings but I'll ask when I pick it up tonight. How long did it take for them to fix yours?
  3. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

The noise isnt all that bad. Really only noticeable under 10mph.
  4. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

Plot twist! Dealer #2 diagnosed this as a bad drive shaft and not the brakes. The drive shaft will need to be replaced (under warranty) but it is backordered with no ETA. Fortunatley, I'm told it's safe to drive the truck in the meantime.
  5. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

Matching tires, yes. I haven’t measured the tread depth but I run studded snows in the winter and the stock Grabber’s the rest of the year. Rotated every 4-5k.
  6. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

Good to know about the grinding noise being an indicator of the worn pads. Thank you, would have been nice if the service advisor could answer that question.
  7. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

I don't drive aggressive but if I have in fact already burned through my rear brakes, then why is there a grinding sound coming from the wheels when they are not being used? There is an audible noise from the wheels as soon as they start rolling, no gas, no brakes. Perhaps this is normal for...
  8. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

Normal driving. Mostly highway miles, no towing and not aggressive.
  9. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

That price maybe included rotors as well. I'm not sure, I wasn't hearing any of it because I should not be paying anything for brakes at this milage and was annoyed that the advisor could not conceive there being an underlying issue that would wear the brakes down so soon.
  10. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

Thanks for the suggestion but I've tried driving this truck with the traction control off and it's not good. The rear end fishtails very easily.
  11. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

I asked them about the parking brake and whether it was stuck and was told no. I can't feel any rolling resistance that would indicate it being stuck either. My initial thought was also a wheel bearing issue but they told me it's the rear brakes. I'm not impressed with this dealer though and...
  12. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

I brought the truck to the dealer recently as I was experiencing a grinding sound coming from the wheels when coasting at a low speed. The sound is not amplified at all when hitting the gas or brakes, it's just audible as soon as the wheels start rolling. Dealer said the read pads are worn and...
  13. Those with stock LED headlights - Any issues with othe drivers high beaming you at night?

I have an ARE cap on it and am keeping a 70lb sandbag in the bed for the winter but this issue has been happening since I bought it over the summer, before the cap was installed and with nothing in the back.
  14. Those with stock LED headlights - Any issues with othe drivers high beaming you at night?

When driving at night, other cars in oncoming traffic keep flashing their high beams at me when I'm driving with my low beams on. It's as if I'm driving with my high beams on or my headlights are too bright. Not sure if they need to be releveled or if this is just the nature of truck that's...
  15. New Hampshire Sold: Tonnsport Tonneau cover for crewcab with 5-foot bed

Purchased form Stage 3 Motorsports and was used on my truck for 4 months while I waited for my ARE cap to arrive. All parts are included and in great condition. Local pickup only, would be too expensive to ship.
  16. New Hampshire Tremor Side Steps

White Knuckle makes rock sliders for the Supercab. These are what I just installed on my truck, except the Supercrew version. Very high quality, I'm very satisfied with them. https://white-knuckleoffroad.com/product/ford-ranger-2019-newer-rock-sliders/
  17. New Hampshire Tremor Side Steps

Yes, it is a 4-door and I assume would not fit the 2-door/supercab
