  1. B&O System Upgrade for my 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor

I do not understand your point of view on your original post? Is it the dual subs you are referencing or are you making the blanket statement that one cannot make a better sounding system than B&O/Ford…..volume aside?
  2. B&O System Upgrade for my 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor

I was just curious to see if you went that route. I have Forscan already so even though the Amp/DSP I want to use can handle the correction, I see no reason to correct with this option available.
  3. How much does it cost to own Ford's F150 electric truck?

If gas prices retreat to where they were and they should in time get close to them, the numbers change significantly. With that aside. I can’t help but wonder what is going to happen in the electric market in 5-10 years from now. In that time, the secondary market will start purchasing these...
  4. B&O System Upgrade for my 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor

Nice setup. I have an interest in doing something similar on my Non-B&O. I’d like to use the D-5.1300 and get a harness from plugnplaykits. I have plenty of experience but sometimes a nicely made wire kit is worth the price. ;) Did you use Forscan to turn off the factory curve? If so, any...
  5. Ceramic Coating Opinions?

My one truck was black and I had it professionally ceramic coated. It looked great and the shine lasted longer between washes. I would not do it again though. I would for black only but I doubt I ever buy another black vehicle.
  6. What is your 'gap' Vehicle?

I’m not in the situation but if I were, I think I would buy the cheapest, oldest and ugliest truck I could find and beat on it like I was in high school again just for fun…..I think I am showing my age. ;)
  7. Factory replacement component's?

Good looking cart there. I am on the verge of doing something similar on my non-B&O 8” but with an Amp/DSP. I still need to figure out the sub but all in due time.
  8. Anyone want to throw an estimate at this damage ?

I'm going $2500. My wife's Rogue was rear-ended last week while sitting at a red light which then pushed her into the vehicle in front of her. Looking at her car, I thought they might total it. The front bumper and hood took damage, some bits under the hood, the driver's side fender was out...
  9. Aggressive extended care sales / Turbo issues?

I've used that line many times. If I really needed that warranty, this might not be the vehicle I want to purchase. The conversation moves on quickly.
  10. Paint issue

I'm in the DIY camp. The person who does the work at the dealership is just going to get the job "done". You, the person who actually cares, will clean, prep and correct and you'll have the confidence it was done correctly.
  11. Ford torture tests F-150 Lightning towing in extreme temperatures, terrain

I do know lithium and power is changing, I actually use Lithiums on my boat and it neat watching the advances and price changes….for the better. I do worry that the EV industry will see a significant setback with lawsuits when it comes time for batteries to be replaced. While most know that...
  12. Ford torture tests F-150 Lightning towing in extreme temperatures, terrain

I have noticed the same and I just don’t think an electric vehicle will ever have the range to be a complete tower. It’s fine for the person taking a boat to the local lake on the weekend or towing a trailer for yard work but imagine if you’re the person towing an enclosed trailer half way...
  13. Towing VS Pulling Boat Up Boat Ramp

I put MANY hours on the lake fishing with my boat, getting out at least once, sometimes twice a week except for dead winter and I am cringing reading your post. Your boat weighs more than your truck, that is scary to me, especially since you are 2WD. I’m not going to say that you can’t do it...
  14. Support group for those wanting to drive their Ranger but can't due to high gas price

I know the facts. I’ve owned more trucks than I care to admit but public perception is a different ball game.
  15. Support group for those wanting to drive their Ranger but can't due to high gas price

No doubt, they do well. Public perception is…well…interesting. Full size trucks will have issues if there is not a solution soon.
  16. Support group for those wanting to drive their Ranger but can't due to high gas price

Small trucks like Rangers are viewed as gas savers. Big trucks like an F150, gas hogs. I’m waiting for the market to crash on full size trucks and then I’ll simply trade my Ranger in, even swap for what use to be a $60K F150 Lol. Ok, pipe dream but never say never. Of course when the market...
  17. Why won't service deparments at 2 dealerships program my genuine Ranger keyless keypad?

I have not done this since 2011 but at that time, I added my own keypad, I don't think they've changed much?? Mine came with instructions on how to pair it with your vehicle. A quick internet search shows how to do it as well. https://faroutride.com/ford-keyless/
  18. Factory suspension ( rake )

The rake we see today is due to marketing. Brand X shows a commercial of a truck doing truck things that can tow 9k lbs so brand Y ups their game, shows a similar commercial stating 10k lbs and then Brand Z follows with 11k lbs, rinse and repeat.
  19. LOL...local shops charging me $400 to put level kit on my Ranger.

I seem to alternate. Lol. This is my 4th truck I’ve leveled. I did the first one, a shop did the second, I did the third and this one I had a shop do it. Who knows what the next one will be. Maybe none, I swear I’m keeping this truck until it’s a pile of rust.
  20. 2022 Build & Price

    I did a build on a 2022 identical to my 2021 XLT Ranger just for the heck of it. Here is the result. 2022 Base MSRP = $35,425 Options = $3,440 Destination = $1,295 Total = $40,160 2021 Sticker Base MSRP = $34,745 Options = $3,340 Destination = $1,195 Total = $39,280 A total of $880...
