Now that could be a option for sure. I never knew what they were called. now just to find them the right length. but who knows what those are rated? I just know I do not have the need to spend $80 for two tie downs.
I agree 100% and cant think of anything that would rip through that steel if it was strapped down properly with two or more hooks. could you pull a car with it, no. these are too hold things down in your bed. what could you possibly haul that would rip through that?
I would like to know what you carry in your truck that would be over 400# load or 1200# break stregnth? These are way stronger than anything most of us will ever haul.
I purchased a xlt with 301a package so no heated seats. I had the dealer instal them. a guy showed up to the dealer and installed them as i waited. I would install them myself after watching him do it. you can buy a whole 2 seat kit for under $100. I have cloth seats and love the heated seats.

I did not go with the visor route. I cut holes in my overhead console and wired it in there. Power with key on only and illumination with lights on only.
I paid $30 for a sport trac bed extender. Did a little work on it to make it fit and spent $8 for hardware I love it, keeps groceries from going to the front.
