  1. Ham Radio Install

YES!!! I LOVE HIS CHANNEL, Pure gold man!
  2. Ham Radio Install

As a semi-new HAM (obtained tech license back in '17). It's absolutely nuts how elitist & rude a fraction of the HAM community are. It's a shame that such a small vocal minority of a hobby group can be such trolls for newcomers. **Will add pics of my current mobile UV-5R system this evening...
  3. "Steelie Dan" '21 XL Ranger Build

Did a recent rock climbing trip to Joshua Tree. Unfortunately since I don't get Presidents day off, I was unaware of the holiday; and the traffic that entails at J Tree from it. Camped out at the BLM outside the park where it was quiet. Pic of me in full "dirt-bag" mode MOD: Added a siphon...

  7. Post your off-road pics.

Hey Dave! I never got a chance to thank you for the footage; you did an awesome job with that GoPro; really glad we met. We'll have to do an OC Ranger Rally in the spring :)
  8. "Steelie Dan" '21 XL Ranger Build

Throwback to 1 year ago when I first started seriously eyeing a Ford Ranger SCAB post-sale of the Rover "Serenity"
  9. Useful 3D printed items..

Hey Greg, I would do some local googling for "Makerspaces" These are typically educational STEM-based non-profits that have free or very cheap access to 3D printers. For example, the local library in my town Huntington Beach, allows free filament for projects that take less than 2 hours...
  10. Who’s Overlanding the Ranger?

So I was recently at "Overlandswap" hosted in Long Beach, CA (west side industrial park). Met a dude named Leif who owns a company called Enduro Campers. They are in the same market space as GFC for wedge campers. Slightly more expensive, but based on the specs, much better insulation...
  11. New ARB Skid Plate

Hey @Colo_Ranger post #93 on this thread has the best pictures of my install. I ended up grinding the corners of my 589 mount near the lowest bolt hole and cutting a notch on the ARB plate to get it to fit.. However my plate also had a few dings on it by that point, so it was a Lil warped. With...
  12. New ARB Skid Plate

I've beat the hell out of mine.... Probably time to start looking for a lift...
  13. Ranger Meetup at Diablo's Drop Off

"That'll buff out" ?? I think it's time I look for the Fox 2.0 lift kit from @Stage3Motorsports. At least the armor did it's job!
  14. Ranger Meetup at Diablo's Drop Off

That is probably the only downfall of that state. There are some cool offroad trails near SPI & Brownsville on the gulf; but otherwise, most is privately owned :(
  15. San Diego area off-road trips

We will be at the trail head in about 30 min. Just about done packing up the ranger group campsite (4 trucks)

    Feel better soon dude!
  18. San Diego area off-road trips

Real quick, I'm not sure how familiar the folks in this group are; but Anza Borrego State park has two unique fire requirements: 1. A campfire Permit is required (no cost, just takes 5 min of time with easy quiz), PDF copy will suffice. I have a valid permit, but just for awareness; (here is...
  19. San Diego area off-road trips

I have one other Ranger guy "Gary" coming in the afternoon with a 2002 Red Ranger from the Expedition Portal forum, so I think that brings us to around 7 trucks.
