Lol, I'm 66, and love catching gears in my '13 Boss 302 and an occasional wheel loft on my bikes. Being a HS shop teacher 29 years ruined me I can't ever see myself growing up!
I use S around town, on the highway keeping in D appears to keep it higher overdrive gears. Which would benefit mileage. Around town, backroads negligible mileage loss. My truck has 600 miles, using S around town lots of stop and go I get 19 so far. Another nice thing S deletes auto stop start...
I'll run the Mobil 1 extended mile, gold stuff in it like I did my Focus ST, 5000 mile changes. And I ran that car like a scalded dog, never used a drop. Good stuff, I traded the car in with 100k miles, still ran perfect and I ran a Cobb stage 2 tune with a mountune big intercooler.
My Boss 302...
When I bought my '13 BOSS 302 the manual said be kind to it the first 100 miles, and so I did. After that game on, she still purrs like a kitten. I did the same with the Ranger, runs great.
I've got 500 miles on mine and it's noticeably improving. Sport mode feels better. But I've had enough new vehicles to understand that clutch surfaces need to burnish in and the grabbiness goes away with use. I felt the same when I drove it off the lot, WTF?
Nice truck bro, neat touches! Congratulations, got my '22 this past week loving it! I had a velocity blue Bronco on order, gave up and bought a nicely equipped Ranger and saved $7k. I'm happy of my choice.
I'm sold on it as well. I found the truck I wanted but it had the tech package that I was hesitant to accept. Now having it, I would pay that money just for adaptive cruise, love it. It is such a pleasure not to have to hit your brakes or disengage cruise, and it's super easy to set following...
I'm not feeling the pogo, lol My.last truck was a 2004 F-250 power stroke diesel FX4 with leaf springs all around, solid axles, and Bilstein 5100's this Ranger rides like a Cadillac in comparison!
Me too! Got mine this past Monday! Big shock from a tuned Focus ST, but loving the luxury. It was sweet to hit the remote start button and enter a 72 degree vehicle with a hot seat, SWEET!
Love it no complaints. Rides like a truck, no surprises. I like a firm ride, my bitch with GM trucks, very wallowy. I test drove a Tremor, that's was nice too, very similar ride. Typical Ford extremely tight, no rattles, no paint defects, quality is impressive.
Cyber Orange! Very similar in hue to school bus yellow on my 13 Boss 302, but the cyber has a deep metallic to it. Looked long and hard to find this exact truck, I had to travel 140 miles to get it.
Finding an XLT, FX4, 302A, Splash, trailer tow, technology in Cyber Orange was like finding...
Had a Bronco on order forever it seemed. Needed a vehicle to tow, looked at new Rangers, I fell in love. Fantastic vehicle, just got it yesterday, paint is awesome!
I join y'all too. My name is John, Pick mine up Monday. 2022, XLT, crew, FX4, Splash, Technology package, 302A, trailer tow, and it's in Cyber Orange.
I had a deposit with another dealer for a similar truck, was waiting for it to arrive. Then I saw Cactus Gray on a Ranger in the supermarket...
Due to get my Cactus Gray next week, XLT, Crew, Splash/w graphics, FX4, 301A, tow, boards, spray bedliner. My first choice would be a cyber orange splash, but the more I see the Cactys gray around, I like it. Trunk is in transit from Michigan to my dealer, long wait!
I will be receiving my 2022, XLT within a week. Looking at the sticker, it doesn't list ASS anywhere. Do you think they deleted it due to chip shortage?
Congratulations, I had '22 Bronco on order and gave up. I searched Rangers for days and finally found a unit coming in that met near all my criteria. The only thing I gave up is 302A vs 301A, no power seats. I wasn't aware they were heated, it didn't mention in package description.
Anyrate, put...
