Ford/Motorcraft does not sell a different quality or quantity product to Walmart. I don't care for Walmart, but the facts are the facts. They might do that with other manufactures, but not Ford. Ford goes way deep on discounts with them strictly due to volume.
Walmart buys MotorCraft buy the rail-car. They will buy 100,000 of individual part numbers at a time and get huge discounts. They are the exact parts we use, with no quality difference. The only thing that can happen is that if Ford updates a part, Walmart may not see it for a while.
Smart! Every 5k and your will be happy in the long run. Customers that go 7,500-10k have so many more issues down the line with turbos, cam Phasers, oil pressure issues due to scored cam caps. You name it. I always tell customers, the manufactures do two things, sell cars and parts!
If your going to skip either losing the axle nut or popping out the lower strut studs, you can easily pull your axle apart, especially on the drivers side. Then its a bitch.
Icon is sending me a set of the rebound wheels and they are being unloaded from the container as we speak. Nitto's are standing by. Should be done next week. I am very happy with the ride, should be fun offload. Ford sent a bunch of goodies including the short Yakima with Maxtrax and Rotopax, a...
Blame the service manager, not the tech. If its not being done correctly, the manager obviously does not inspect what he expects. Ford reimburses .9 of an hour for the tech side and that also includes clean up. So, about .5 is allowed for the tech's portion. Most dealers pay the tech the entire...
Just a FYI. Ford has had a issue with the Eco-boost engines and oil. They have found that on had decel, it was causing micro droplets of oil to be in the combustion chamber. Engineering reformulated the Motorcraft oil to stop this. This was just two months ago.
Honestly, the factory ball joints are very good. If you look at the F-150, lowers last 200k. Ford uses Spicer, and they are way better then your Auto Zone MOOGs by two fold.
Just picked up Icon Vehicle Dynamics coil-over and billet arms. Install was perfect. They even took the time to mill slots in the arms for the factory ABS sensors lead clips into the arms.
The Magnaflow is not bad for the money. They just dropped off a black kit to install on my Ranger build I am doing, and the install was simple, sound is pretty good with zero grown/drone on the freeway.
