MBRP single side exit exhaust. I Like it (pretty well). No drone at all. Barely notice a difference in the cab while cruising. Noticeably Louder at high idle when cold, but that’s just sitting in the driveway. So no big deal. Torque curve moved slightly. Seat of the pants pull from a stop up to...
I have a 2020. Mine does he exact same thing.. usually no more than twice before it idles down. A chirp and then another around 20 seconds later (Only 1st thing in the morning) now I have a ticking noise getting worse. I’m hoping it’s just the belt tensioner.
Hmm. I need to call him. I have not driven as much due to being on the motorcycle. So it’s been several months since the tune. 1st tank 93 octane on the 93 performance tune = 14.8 mpg. 2nd tank 93 octane changed to 87 tune = 14.5 mpg., 3rd tank now is 87 octane and 87 tune but I won’t have mpg...
Loaded mine yesterday but only had a chance to drive it a short distance today. No check engine light, but I did notice the tuner went thru and cleared codes as the last step in the loading of the tune.
That’s what pulled me in..all the good reviews here and the fact he responded to an email in 10 minutes. I only have 12k on my 2020 and honestly I’m a bit (maybe a lot) scared to void the warranty. It’s actually started shifting pretty good lately , but I still get these out of the blue...
Thanks for the advice. Once it gets here, I’ll have to ask him a few things like sport mode being useless or not when running 93 performances and tow mode same thing when running the tow tune.
You still like the tune? Did you have torquerules shift strategy added?
I just pulled the trigger and ordered the unit. I’ve been trying to get together exactly what tunes to tell him once the unit arrives. I prepaid for three…why I don’t know. 2 would have done it. Lol.
I’m currently researching tuners in case I don’t end up trading it to a Ridgeline this summer. I take it you’re happy with the sct? I am mainly looking to fix the tranny shift issues, the power increases are secondary for me. Do you find the act does a good job for you as far as shifting?
22K and only three times? Lucky you. Mine was in 3 times by 7k. Carrier bearing, output shaft bearing, drive shafts, leaking front struts.
12 k now and I replaced the rear shocks on my own dime (they were shot). I live with the brakes and pedal travel, the feeling that a tire is out of balance...
I would guess it’s the carrier bearing and output shaft bearing going because of the wobble. After they replaced those plus the drive shafts on mine the drone went away, but I have the vibration at any speed over 75 still. At 85 it gets worrisome enough that I slow down. Never really a...
I let go of a 20K down payment. I figured it might be my last new one, and I’d do it right. Now after being so disappointed with all the issues, I’m tempted to trade it for the Ridgeline. I think I have 3 payments left on it and just turned over 12K
Impo…that is far from a simple rant. You touched on every important point and are completely correct on every one as well. Well put sir. BTW, I still look back at mine as well; I hate that it hurts so much to love it though.
I’ve been putting off the fronts. You,have to pop the tie Rod ends loose to get them out. Not a huge deal but then I’ll have to get it aligned back up too.
