No plans, but I'd definitely be down if you're gonna come thru! I've heard the marble trail is pretty neat over there. Not sure how many trails would be closed next month obviously weather dependent but let me know and if it's a weekend I can most likely make it work.
Yep! Turns out if I put it all back together without the plunger, cautiously drive around my driveway do a few slow k turns and some quick braking the little thing fell out of the engine bay! So now to return that factory valve and get on with it. Phew...
No doubt! Its beautiful up here in aspen today! And its the stock diverter plunger which obviously is used with the gfb as well, so have to order a new one.
Awesome stuff! Glad to see all the items you guys are offering. Looking forward to whats next with the build and products! Btw some of your pictures didn't show up.
I can't exactly remember but I know the bulkead rail should sit on there with the foam strip and then I think its almost flush with the black rails. I honestly can't remember the screws but I remember it was a pain to align them. I'll try to get some pictures later for you.
To me the truck just didn't feel like it was performing as well as when I had first put the dv+ on. So when I took it apart to see what was going on to me it seems like lack of oil was the issue. Guess I'll be changing it out more frequently. Just not going to lose a plunger next time!
Well I took apart the dv+ today to see if it needed some more oil since it was feeling a bit weird. My ignorance forgot there is a plunger inside when you pull it apart...so it was stuck together, gave it a small yank and Bam everything flew apart all over the engine bay. Luckily I found mostly...
Here are some pictures. You can see the water channel and 3 clamps per side. To fully take it off you have to loosen 2 knobs per side. Also has clips to hold it folded down up front. Secure and flush enough to the bed for me.
I definitely reccommend the gator efx. I'll send you some pictures of it later, but so far its awesome. The waterproofing is excellent, drove thru a high pressure car wash and minimal water got in. The install can be a bit finicky but otherwise it is pretty straightforward. Light than most hard...
Anyone have any photos of which posts they connected their ditch lights to on the battery? It looks like there are a few ground bolts attached to the side/fender wall and then I'd assume any of the positive posts should be fine as long as they come off... But wanted to see if any suggestions...
