  1. Is anyone else really affected by winter blend?

Sorry I meant specific gravity of the fuel. The lower temps won't make up the difference so the winter blend is still a lower energy fuel. Vapor lock seems to be a thing of the past (at least in the great white north) now it's all about emissions. But I never lived in Phoenix. In Utah 30...
  2. Is anyone else really affected by winter blend?

Winter blends are cheaper because they have a higher vapor pressure to help with starting. In the summer too high a VP can result in vapor lock. But here's the funny part, E10 has a waiver to exceed the summertime VP because ethanol increases VP (emission of unburned fuel contribute to smog...
  3. Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Funny story, I was sitting in a tree stand in Iowa in the early afternoon Saturday waiting for deer to start moving. They have my truck listed on the dealer website (which makes me nervous) so I keep checking it and that's how I found out they have $3100 more in rebates. So then I hit reload...
  4. $6,100 rebates on 2019 Model Year XLT trims through 1/2/2020

Picked mine up today. I thought I would be getting the best deal in the country but the trade in allowance was for a lease. Still ended up with A plan and rebates totalling $8800 off the $36990 MSRP. I can't believe I got a new S Cab XLT, FX4, 301A, tow, and technology package for $28,200...
  5. Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Picked my truck up today, it actually arrived at the dealer on Saturday 4 days ahead of schedule. I take back all my complaining, because it took longer than expected I got $3100 more off in additional rebates. The timing couldn't have been any better! And damn this thing is nice...
  6. $6,100 rebates on 2019 Model Year XLT trims through 1/2/2020

There's another 1k trade in allowance too.
  7. 1" Front End Lift?

You'll likely need longer bolts if you use 2 of the 1/2" spacers?
  8. Is anyone else really affected by winter blend?

LOL. You have to wonder how many people here know where Backus is, or what RBOB or C3, C4 are! I'm guessing you are a chem engineer who likes to fish. BTW - if you bought non-oxy in MN it was 91. In WI you can get non-oxy 87.
  9. Potential issues with lifting/leveling the front end?

Thanks for the info, I'll be looking to order from you guys when I get my FX4 next week. I'm looking at the BDS leveling kit with the fox shocks. My truck will be 90% on road use with off road for hunting access out west which can be a bit rough (i.e. not joy driving or running the Baja) so I...
  10. Potential issues with lifting/leveling the front end?

It would be really nice if someone would spell out what these +/- are, like a someone who actually sells these parts ;).
  11. Potential issues with lifting/leveling the front end?

I wonder if it's not as big an issue since trucks are rear wheel drive, the the CV joints are not under stress most of the time like a front wheel drive (my old Escape).
  12. Options for flexible mud flaps?

I emailed them a few days ago and they said they are working on them too. I also reminded them of the need right now with it being November, and I pointed them to this site with frustrated Ranger owners. I'm going with the RokBlokz XL since my truck will be here in less than 2 weeks. It will...
  13. Fox Rear Shocks

Who the hell thought of this? Rebound damping is needed off road too! BTW - Compression is usually what makes a shock feel hard or stiff. Rebound is after the fact and should just maintain wheel contact with the ground after a bump. Too fast and you get bounce. Bounce is not good off road too.
  14. 2019 Ranger Buy Back

Very odd, it's not like they can't see the problem unlike an intermittent issue. You could send the CEO an email with your complaints, it has worked before. This one thinks he's a genius who can lead the way with technology but they can't even make a truck that drives straight?
  15. 2019 Ranger Buy Back

Have you spoken directly to Ford? There's a complaint system where you might be able to speak to an engineer (I think, or someone who knows what the hell your problem might be). Sounds to me like the dealer is incompetent at diagnosing this issue so you should move beyond them. However they...

My wife's office at the St Paul Plant was literally right at the end of the line. They come off so fast she never saw mine, and yes I complained about the delivery fee too. She could have drove it home! A few facts about TC assembly. Ford owned the dam on the Mississippi river so they got...
  17. Potential issues with lifting/leveling the front end?

BDS uses a combination of strut spacers and spring collars on the 2" kit as they recognize this problem - The issue with most other kits is they increase the overall length of the strut assembly maxing out ball joints and causing the CV shaft/boot to operate at an extreme angle leading to...
  18. Potential issues with lifting/leveling the front end?

I'm not sure how you drop the differential but this is what their website says: Finishing out the front of these 3.5" systems is a small differential relocation to help further improve CV axle operating angle. Can someone explain how this is even possible?
  19. Potential issues with lifting/leveling the front end?

So you guys are lifting your trucks and no one knows about this?
  20. Aftermarket heated seat kits?

The carbon heating elements look pretty much the same and easy to install. Even the "high quality" Pacific kit is only $56! I'd get stuck on where to draw power from and how/where to put in the rocker switches. I really just need to do the drivers seat since 98% of the time I't just me.
