Reminds of a story some years ago of a friend who got a ticket. On it was written "exhibition of acceleration". If you're going to get a ticket that sounded like a pretty cool one to get.
I lived in the Ft Worth area for about 30 yrs so I know all about those hail storms. You're being a broke college student I'll opine on a prudent course of action. Use a part of that 7k check to get a new hood. Skip the damage on the roof as a good deal of those dents will pop out in the heat of...
Trucks have ben sold for years without an integrated brake controller. It wasn't until the early 2000's that Ford offered one as an option, if memory serves they were the first to do so. It was an additional option in addition to the trailer tow package on my '06 F-350.
A rental U Haul type...
I went in for an oil change at my dealer Tuesday. I've never seen a dealer lot so empty, and not a single vehicle in the showroom. Blamed on the chip shortage.
There are two stages to AEB. Stage 1 the dash lights up red and pre-pressurizes the brake system and Stage 2 where the AEB applies the brakes. Granted I didn't specify manually braking prior to Stage 2 so thanks for having me note that. Also Ford makes it very clear that AEB does not guarantee...
Any conventionally wired brake controller that you can purchase and get installed at Camping World etc. should work. With these units however the trailer brakes will not activate if the Ranger's automatic braking system is triggered. I would surmise, though far from certain, that the trailer...
Why turn off the traction control aids? Using the e-brake has been known to work, however traction control does the same thing only better by just braking the wheel that is spinning, and not both. Admittedly there are times when you might want wheel spin.
Just drive around and note the engine rpm and what gear the transmission is in.
Tire rpm equals engine rpm X transmission gear ratio X rear axle ratio.
Driveshaft speed equals engine rpm X transmission gear ratio.
Ah yes, summing moments for statics class. I did plenty of those except using pounds and inches. It can come in handy if you need to determine the load on your Rangers front or rear axles. Add in trailer axle weight just for fun.
I've had sunroofs on a Mazda, and a Jeep, never leaked, nor did the T-tops on my 1980 Firebird. They're great and most all sunroofs come with a sunshade.
What's with the "I'm not a robot" captcha questions? It's ridiculous, an account and a password should be sufficient. I don't need the aggravation of finding all the buses, people, crosswalks in a series of low resolution pictures.
If the OP's trailer truly weighs 6800 lbs and he's below the max GCWR then the trailer is towable by the Ranger. The problem seems to be weight distribution in the trailer. The tongue weight of 800 lbs exceeds the 750 lb max rating as others pointed out. The OP needs to correct the trailer...
Did no one notice the '73 Mach 1 at a '75 auto show? I think you went 2 years earlier Dave.
Great pics at any rate though. Though Dodge does say '75. Maybe you went twice?
