Well, there will be valid times you'll want to turn them off. Going through a car wash, for example. But yeah, if the sensor is going off randomly when it shouldn't you should get that repaired/replaced under warranty if possible.

You can temporarily turn off the parking sensors by hitting the button on the center console forward of the shifter that looks like a parking cone with waves going from it.

What I'd like to do is be able to mount a winch on a temporary basis on the front of the truck. Yes, I could mount on on the regular tow hitch on the rear but that's not what I want to do.

So, does this work to charge the house battery even with the "smart" alternator that is much more restricted in its operation than an old school one?
