I haven't found anything concrete on the front differential.
I'd like, at some point in the future, to put a locker in there. Since my rear has a factory electronic locker, I'm thinking of going with an e-locker on the front.
I found this information on the ARB site...
My ONLY concern is that appears to be for mounting a snow blade or such like. I could be wrong, but it might not be able to handle the stresses of a winch pulling a fully-loaded truck, which would be a pulling load as opposed to a pushing load like one would get plowing snow.
I'll have to find one I can put on the glass behind the driver, because while I really like that, it would make me crazy about the third time I looked in the rear view.
The video that shows the install has at least two instances of the installer commenting on different parts that he substituted in for what came with the package, so that's an indicator to me that the product needs some fine-tuning, or that the fine-tuning in question is happening by people who...
Oh, I'm absolutely not against a 34 gallon metal tank. I'm interested in all the range I can get that doesn't take up bed space.
It's still an option I'm looking at. I'm actually surprised that nobody else is making an aftermarket add on and I suspect it's because the Ranger is relatively new...
I don't know about the OP, but this would be useful for low-speed 4-wheeling. The ability to see what's directly in front of the vehicle as you crest over top a rock or something would be handy.
So now I wonder what it would cost (and who could do it) to fabricate a larger plastic tank and bash plate?
For time being, I'm looking at two to three 5gal gas cans to be carried on a rack in or over the bed.
Still employed by Uncle Sam, but in a different capacity, and I live in Utah, so that's an ixnay on the "left-handed cigarettes" as one of my former CSMs called them.
You're an American too. Vets (like me) do NOT have a monopoly on the flag, or anything else, with the possible exception of arthritis.
We have LOTS of arthritis.
Which, honestly, you can have it if you want it.
I paid about $40 US, and I thought that was what I linked.
Yeah, you gotta drill some holes in the tailgate for the mounting plate. Me, I have a bad back, bad knees, and a bad shoulder, so I appreciate any help I can get.
