Funny thing about that is... they don't change what NEEDS to be changed. 2 decades later ford still can't make a decent v-motor cam synchro.. and these days the motor needs to be removed to replace them ?‍♀️ The stupid wet belt and inevitable cam synchro headaches are why I bought a 2.3 bronco.

As with any modern motor, it'll last an easy 200k+ as long as it's not constantly shitwhipped and it gets maintained. Turbos need to be thought of as a maintenance item though.. that'll be the most likely way that the motor will die an early death.. Start checking for health of turbo around 100k.
