The answer you seek is...possibly both. The BMS doesn't allow the AGM batteries to fully charge normally. The BMS maintaining a lesser charge could be a fault in the lifespan.

Seems the Rangers don't fully charge the AGM batteries. There are several long threads on this. If most of your driving is shorter trips, then the battery isn't being allowed to charge up. To assist with keeping battery charged and not draining, many use a battery maintainer.

I have the motopower 2amp/4amp model. It uses common SAE connectors. Another popular brand is NOCO but it uses proprietary connectors.

Are you connecting a battery maintainer? If not, then you might consider one.

I talked to a co-woorker perviously about Tesla. He went to the Austin gallery. He said they can not talk prices at all. They will help you place an order online if you need it at their kiosk I'm sure.

The Tesla loophole is no sales in person. They have showrooms they may call them galleries. The show people can't discuss prices or anything. You order online then pick up at the showroom you select.
