Technically got this in on Friday, and will be working this week to get it installed. Vixen Horns kit with a 3 gallon tank and 200 psi compressor. Papa happy ?
So it's my understanding that there are two versions of the 10R80 that get installed on the Rangers, as evidenced in some of the recent comments on this thread. The NB3Z-7000-B is for 2WD models whereas the KB3Z-7000-B is for 4WD models.
Got my truck back Thursday after only three weeks. Brand new transmission with the updated drum, and so far all is well. Time will tell, but hopefully they've actually resolved that issue.
So I read in another thread that someone's image wasn't showing up on their account on the Ford website either. I just checked that: no image on the website. I removed my vehicle and re-added it using the VIN, still no image on the website, and now my access to my truck is removed from the app...
Okay so I just have to rant a little here. I replaced my halogen housings with Diode Dynamics Elite Series LED fog light housings, and I learned late into the process that removing not only the air dams, but also on the Tremor there is a plastic piece clipped onto a bit of the frame and it...
Three things: 1 - I hope your recovery goes well! 2 - I think the deal with the app making you actually drive the truck after two remote starts is a security feature ensuring that your app account hasn't been hacked. 3 - How did you (or anyone else here for that matter) get the picture of your...
That reminds me, I will say as an additional note for @Stevedbvik1 When I initially mentioned the harsh shifting to the dealership and describing what I read on here, I was already in for a scheduled oil change. I noticed that the oil change took suspiciously longer than normal, and I also...
I've got 17k on the clock. I wasn't experiencing too terribly bad symptoms, but after seeing this thread and the common problems and paying more attention to how it was shifting, I decided to take it in before any major damage could be caused and while I was still under warranty.
Honestly if I...
I don't have confirmation, but given how quickly they came to the conclusion I'm pretty sure they went straight to "slap a new one in there." I will say that when I talked to them about it back in October when setting up the appointment, their transmission tech was well aware of the issue even...
So I have an update from my dealer on my truck. They are going to completely swap the transmission and put a new one in it. I asked the service advisor that texted me today if there was a specific diagnosis and he said even though there weren't any notes in their system yet, he was pretty sure...
I love them! And so far I haven't had any issues after figuring out the low beam. And here's the link to the regulator:
Amazon.com: Innovited HID Error Warning Canceller Anti Flicker Capacitor Decoder (1 Pair) : Automotive
The headlights are a bi-LED projector lense, so both low beam and high...
So for the regulator: The way Ford programmed the BCM specifically on the XL and XLT with halogen headlights, every so often the BCM will cut power to the driver side low beam for a fraction of a second to make sure the circuit still works. It's such a small amount of time that it doesn't affect...
@Trace Elements Here is what I put on mine if you're still looking.
They're from Akkon LED and are between $500 and $600 on Amazon. I absolutely love the style and it was my way of bringing a little Mustang to the Ranger (since the missus made me buy a truck instead of my dream car, lol)...
The way he was talking about it made it sound like they're just gonna go and fix it. They still have to go through the TSB, but basically once they verify it's that issue they're just gonna order the parts and fix it.
