Has GM fixed their 8sp transmission issues? I know, EVERY vehicle these days seems to have transmission issues but I had a 2016 Colorado w/6sp that was ok but the following year the 8sp was added and many were having issues. Not in the market for a new truck as my '19 only has 22k on it and...

I just wonder if the pressure of the rivet would break the plastic... I haven't looked at the taillight in a long time so not sure if this would work. Probably need a washer since you'll need a fairly thin rivet.
