I pick up a lady in the neighborhood talking to her kid on GMRS on occasion. The kid sounds barely old enough to be talking. I’d bet money they have no license and aren’t even aware that you’re supposed to. Ham is for sure the better solution with the congestion on GMRS.

This usually hangs around in the car. The 4” Performance Center usually sleeps in the Ranger. Occasionally they get lonely and both end up in the same vehicle. A Canik METE replaces one or the other on occasion.

GMRS has exploded. I have the license and Wouxon handheld for that too. I actually pick up on occasion traffic on 2m here but the very crowd that got me into amateur radio will sit all day listening to your CQs and ignore you lol

Yeah I read the list when I got the truck last year lol. The folding headrests and engine cover are the only two annoyances to me but minor. I’d much rather have a ZF or Aisin transmission ???

I have a Samsung Fit 128GB USB with flac files. I’ll check in a bit to see if I can easily remove it and let you know. I used one of the short cables for a bit and wasn’t fond of fiddling with it to plug and unplug for a short time but everyone has different usage patterns and dislikes.

My 2012 Focus glitched fairly often. I would exit the car and the doors wouldn’t lock with the remote. I would have to climb back in, insert key and turn to on, turn off and then everything worked normal. Never had it refuse to start but the remote connection was flaky
