Good Morning!
I know this is a silly question, but I like to be prepared for anything.
I knew my 2019 Ranger Lariat looked a bit more beefy than some of the other trucks I have seen, and my suspicion was correct.
It looks like the Dealer? Previous Owner? Installed fairly new 265/70r18...
Here is what I use:
Coating: Adam’s Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating. I use their microfiber applicator to apply and their Borderless Grey towel to buff.
Shampoo: Adam’s Graphene Shampoo (I use about 2oz in a 5 gal bucket). It is an extremely slick shampoo that is citrus scented. It...
Good to hear! Looks like we are truck twins.
Now I do consider this a deep cleaning method, you would not have to go this deep every single time. For maintenance I use Adam’s Interior Detailer.
Hey John, Mikko is just the brand name. In the detailing world the inserts are known as Alcantara as a catch-all name.
In a nutshell it is actually a microfiber-like durable material when properly taken care of.
Sonex makes a Alcantara specific Cleaner. You can use other products as well, just...
I have an Air Cannon for drying. ?
I do occasionally use the Pink Detail Spray for touch ups that the cannon missed.
I have bottles of Rinseless Wash from mystery boxes, so I make it into Waterless Wash (1oz Rinseless:15oz Distilled Water). Like you said, that is a great product for bird...
Always a pleasure to meet a fellow Adam’s user.
That is one of the few products I do not have.
Maintenace wise, yeah eventually I was going to add a thread about using their Interior Detailer w/ Microban or the new Total Interior Cleaner that I am a huge fan of.
Steam cleaner is on my list...
That’s always a pain in my opinion (restoring trim). I will probably have to do it to this truck of mine. Previous owner hardly detailed it.
The Adam’s Process is clean the trim with their Trim Cleaner(fun fact it is just relabeled Tire & Rubber Cleaner), apply black trim restorer(it’s a dye...
I’m overkill, I know. 303 is a good product.
My goal with detailing threads is mainly aimed at members who have never cleaned them before. Give them some sort of a roadmap of a process to follow.
Good Morning!
As promised in my intro, I said I would do some detailing write ups. I have been an enthusiast for about 12 years now, and can not stand to have a dirty vehicle, ha!
The first thing I tackled this morning before work was the driver’s seat on my new to me 2019 Ranger Lariat...
Joke or not, good enough for me.
Amazon says that and my T50 socket will be here Sunday!
That will be my first two mods this weekend. LED tag lights and the tailgate dampener.
Husky Liners arrived today too.
@Trigganometry what my wife doesn’t know won’t hurt her.?
It is going to be a nightmare for sure..?
I do slowly have to remind myself, it’s a truck, it is meant to get a ding every now and then and get dirty. ?
Now I do have a good reasoning for going the DI route, waterspots love black paint..
A little more of my history, this is my 2nd truck. My first truck was in high school(2011) and it was a 1994 Chevrolet K1500 single cab. (That’s why I was looking at the Colorado first since I had owned a GM vehicle).
It is actually a pretty simple solution in my mind, I start all of my washes...
I am shook by the amount of responses I have received, first impression of this community is awesome!
If you read my post earlier about not ever owning a black vehicle, I have my work cut out for me..? I will eventually get around to a paint correction, at-least the panels are relatively flat...
