I used a Ridgid 100 watt power inverter in my truck and it was snug, I would say the issue lies with whatever you're plugging into the cigarette lighter adapter. Looks like you're able to wiggle it pretty easily. How many other devices do you have that can plug into the CLA's? Is the issue just...
Nope had no reason to, I did add it out of my pocket, but the trucks valuation was done based on having the tow package accessories. Listing is for the complete Ford TBC kit and the switch fascia only.
@sootie007 when you pulled the factory unit out and did this were you able to retain the fordpass app functions such as remote start and vehicle location? i know it's a separate module within the truck but wondering if it was reliant on talking to the original unit as that is where you do the...

Nope! there is a procedure that I cannot seem to find at the moment but essentially as I posted previous when you change the battery yourself you are to let the truck sit for 10 or 12 hours untouched and it will reset itself. It's somewhere in the battery/electrical technical bulletins part of...
@MountainGoat you either have horrible luck with batteries or they just didn't calibrate the BMS. If you have any electrical accessories that could be to blame, remove them from the picture for a little.
If your battery isnt frozen rock solid and you can get the truck started I would drive it...
Loaner vehicle is totally different from them picking up the phone and arranging to put you in a rental car! :p Some dealerships are crafty and masters at the games they play. Just have to know what is BS and what's not. If they need your truck overnight at the next appointment they need to put...
I could be wrong, but if your appointment is more than an in and out type of deal, I believe it's on them to put you in a rental. @P. A. Schilke would know the specifics on that
Agree with all, but if OP's truck wasnt left to rest (I think it's ten or twelve hours after a battery swap to let the BMS callibrate) or configured with their tools to account for the battery swap by the dealer that changed it, it might account for his replacement battery taking a shit already...
Interstate battery is what you need. My last interstate battery lasted years without a hiccup. I would also look into a battery warmer for the nights it gets below freezing if you are unable to keep it in a garage.
I have my eyes on a new 2020 Ford F150 with the 3.3 V6 and 8' bed. Barebones work truck. I loved my ranger, but there seem to be none that will be under 25,000$ currently out the door TT&L included. Have found several base model f-150's closer to 20K which will easily be had for 23-24K when all...
