Cool thanks for the response, and is the consensus that this cover is an adequate solution to the water in spark plug problem ? Or is there more that should be done ? I don’t get much rain in the sunny Mojave desert but I do get plenty of dust causing frequent car washes to occur!
After reading through this thread it got me kinda worried about having the same problem and how to prevent it, so I went to check out my engine to see if I had said cover before buying one for $200. It looks like my truck has the appropriate engine cover you guys are referring too, correct ?
Just wanted to show off my 2019 Lariat FX4, leveled her a few months ago and put some more fitting tires on it! I’m running:
-Eibach coil overs in the front set to 3”
-Eibach reservoir shocks in the rear (stock height)
-BDS UCA’s
-Cooper AT3 XLT’s in 285/75/16
-FSW Tac Pro in matte bronze

That worked!! Thanks a ton man, took the fuse out and checked it, it was good, put it back in and the “Modem ESN” now has a number and I stopped getting the error under the “Connectivity Settings”. Connected it to the FordPass app and everything’s working. Took me under 5 minutes. This forum is...
Are you talking about the fuse panel on the passenger side under the dash ? According to this diagram on a website a found that fuse goes to the PCM, is that the fuse you’re referring too? Just wanna be sure I’m checking the right one, thank you!
Hey thank you! I hadn’t seen this page before I’m gonna try another master reset as well as the key cycle, I hadn’t tried that. I’ll report back with my results
Edit- Got the issue fixed thanks to @RangerBill, just had too take out fuse 9 under the dash for the “Telematics” and it reset the modem, which then allowed me to connect via FordPass. Can a moderator please change the title of my post to “FordPass not working.. SOLVED”
Hey everyone, I’ve been...
Hi everyone, I’ve been going back and forth about wether or not to get some of the RokBloks mudflaps, specifically the XL ones for my bigger tires. I’d be interested in seeing how they look on you guys that have them trucks. So post some pics!
Hi everyone, I’m looking to purchase some fender flares to help cut down on the amount of mud and debris my tires are flinging on the sides of my truck. I’ve got 285/75/16s in 0 offset wheels. I like the style of the smooth (no bolts) style fender flares, but my only problem is I can’t find any...
we’ll that’s reassuring that it’s not a critical part if Ford determined it’s not necessary after a few years. im gonna try and use some adhesive and zip tie in place and see how that holds up, thanks again guys!
Hello everyone, this is my first time posting to the forum so I hope I’m doing it right, but anyway. My problem is as I was finishing installing my Eibach leveling kit, and BDS upper control arms I broke the 8mm bolt that mounts the UCA “shield” (as BDS refers to it in their instructions) on the...
