Adhesive has held so far. The hot weather was done here when I put it on so it's been more ideal temp for putting it on and letting it bond. No gaps, they fit together just right. Dash pieces were not miss-sized but the driver door piece I got was not cut to match like it somehow was cut for a...
Mine came with the same one and pretty sure they're a re-badge BAKflip G2. The G2 you're not supposed to leave latched (down) when you close the tailgate but the MX4 you can. Since mine has the warning sticker about leaving it down I think it's the G2.
Mine came with the hard folding one installed which if I remember right is a BAKflip G2 just with the blue oval and it does have a bulkhead rail to cover that gap
I'm curious how these turned out and what your final choice is. I kind of like the thought of the darker ones, but then I do kind of like the more stark contrast you get with the other options.
If you're going to put it on yourself you can save some money by not buying from the Ford accessory site. Then you can keep your Ford bucks to use on service.
If you find something you like, google the part number and you can usually find it cheaper (including shipping) from other sites even if...
the1mrb is right, they're exactly the same. Ford pays them to put the Ford logo on it instead of the SwingCase logo so they can charge more. There's an easy way around that though, just Google the Ford part number for them and you can find them for the same price or maybe cheaper than the SC...
You can get the OEM hooks from a few other websites for $26-30 each, just google the part number (KB3Z-21550A74-A). I went through Tasca for mine. The bolts are $3.50 each but you might be able to get different bolts that would work from your local hardware store cheaper
I have them on both sides and really like them. They hold a little more than you think they can and don't really take up much space. If you stick enough in that it gets a little heavy you'll have to help it back into the latched position but that's not a big deal.
