Last July I traded my Maverick Lariat for a 2022 Ranger Lariat Tremor. I was, and still am, very happy with the trade. The Ranger gets marginally worse gas mileage and it is not as straightforward to haul plywood, but I think everything else about the Ranger is better. I especially hated the...
I have a long time to go but I would love to retire to NW AR myself. I have family who lives in Peel so I get down there a few times per year and it's just amazing. It's probably not the place to move to if you are trying to meet a life partner, based on the people I have seen, but if you have...
That's not entirely true. The factory warranty is in effect for the full 5/60 unless they can prove the tune caused a problem. If they can prove that, Ford Performance will cover the repair with their additional 3/36 warranty if it is within that range. The end result is the same, you should...
I am very satisfied with the ford performance tune. Someone said it sort-of protects your warranty, which I think is underselling the warranty protection. Ford isn't going to say their tune caused damage to your truck, so your warranty will remain intact.
I had a maverick and it was just fine for home improvement store runs. I hated the interior, it felt super cheap even on the lariat lux trim. I also suspect the mav will end up with more transmission problems than the ranger does.
I have a 2022 Ranger Lariat Tremor and my wife has a 2024 Bronco Outer Banks w/ 2.3 + 4.23 gears, so I have experience with both vehicles.
First, it is obvious when you drive both that they are on the same platform. They drive similarly, though there is no doubt the Ranger rides a little...
I think the 2.3 w/ Ford Power Pack is a better bargain than the 2.7 without it. Price difference (with dealer install of FPP) is around $1200 and you get less HP and only 15ft/lb more torque. Much simpler layout for repair and maintenance in the 2.3 and I suspect the 2.3 will continue to have...
My opinion is the ranger is capable of towing a lot more than 7500 lbs, and doing it safely. However, it can't do it AS safely once you exceed 7500 lbs. Since it says 7500 lbs in the manual, my insurance will pay out in an accident if I am towing less than that, but might not pay out if i was...
I get a fair amount of water that comes in the gaps around the tailgate but otherwise the leakage around the perimeter of the bed in quite minimal. Anything that is more than 6 - 8 inches from the rear corners of the bed will stay dry even in heavy rain.
I think washing the truck is a...
Elocker, ASS, and tow/haul are all buttons on the upper multifunction switch. Carplay uses the USB interface which is on the same branch of the wiring harness. I would guess you have a wiring harness issue.
This is great news.
Do you mind linking the actual parts you used, and perhaps what you think you could have gotten away with knowing what you now know?
I had this installed by the dealer yesterday and am pleased with the results. The dealer had the wrong tire size entered for my ranger (2022 Tremor, so I should be at 657 RPM and they had 659 RPM) but other than that, all is well. Small sample size, but I am seeing 20.5 mpg instead of the 17.5...
What you included in your post from Ford literally means the opposite of what you are trying to say. Here is the text from ford.com:
It is not worth my time to try to convince you otherwise, you clearly cannot read the text you are copy and pasting yourself let alone what others type in. But...
This is a false statement. The 3/36 warranty that you reference is augmenting your factory warranty, not replacing it. Any damage which can be attributed to the tune in the 3/36 will still be covered. Outside of that period, Ford can deny coverage but they must show the tune caused the...
