For those interested in the Gatorbacks, I asked them about a set with a plain black plate rather than the gunmetal or with the logos so there’s still a weight, but not gaudy. They gave me this link to buy that configuration...

The flaps themselves are different. There is a small tab that inserts into a new slot and fastens on the other side. That replaces the integrated tab that you fold over. The problem is that the folding tab doesn’t fold well and creates tension that pushes the bottom flap toward the tire.

I just returned from RokBlokz HQ. They re-designed the bottom mounting situation and they are much better in my opinion. They said the new design should be available for purchase in the next couple of weeks.

New design developed. Rather than folding the tab over to attach to the bottom screw, they now have a push through tab system that in my opinion is vastly superior. They were great to work with and I can now recommend the product for anyone considering them and doesn’t want to drain the wallet...

I’m heading to RokBlokz in Springville on Tuesday to get a proper fitting set developed.

I have to assume the “soon” is waiting on me. Also, I nearly folded my right-front flap backwards under the step bars overnight once and they came right back to curving towards the tire the following day.

Mine rub the front tires in hard turns. I am taking my Tremor to Rokblokz HQ in a couple weeks to have them design a set that does work.

I think with the coupon it was $106. I paid $94.

No other problems at all. I know a bunch of us on the forum here have replaced theirs. I may have just got a set not quite up to spec or from a bad vendor. I highly recommend changing them, just maybe buy them from someone different than I did.

They are the ones from Ford Performance. I had some accessory credit from my purchase so I got those and the trailer brake controller. I have the factory hooks sitting in a box. Other than color, they are identical.

I used my active cruise control for the first time this weekend and I can say it works very well.

We have been discussing is here, but the short of it is I feel the fit and quality is quite poor, especially the hardware and mounting system.
