As you can see the pace of doing stuff to the ranger has slowed way down....I have a little project for the weekend. I'm going to plasti-dip the wheels black. I think it will add a little more of an aggressive look.
I have some more modifications coming next spring (have to let the bank build...
So I had to put something over my locker switches because my phone doesn't always stay in the mount I put on the dash and I don't want it to fall and somehow hit both the compressor and locker switch when going too fast.
So here is what I came up with. I bought a couple of corner brackets and...
Welcome to the 4x2 club! Looking forward to watching your build. You have a good list going so far and it will only grow the longer you scroll through this lol
So I was able to figure out out to make a video and post it to Youtube showing the ranger with the ARB locker at work. It's only about 45 second and isn't very well edited. I'll get better at that piece as I make more videos.
Enjoy!
So I've been looking for some ideas for bed storage for my recovery gear and small items and I thought I'd try something different.
I was able to get ahold of some ammo cans and drilled three heavy duty magnets into the bottom of them. This will allow me to take them out and put them in the...
I went with the 2020 4x2 XL and installed a ARB rear locker on it. Haven't had a chance to take it out yet, we will this weekend.
I went with it because of price and with a locker and some good A/T tires, I'll be set for what I want to do and if I get outside that area, I also added a winch....
So, I've been looking through some of the off-road post and see that some other owners are looking for differential options for their 2WD. The process was hard to understand at first with what right parts were needed, so here is the invoice from the shop I had it done at. It has all parts in...
Also, I was able to get my bed cover on. I got it a couple months ago and got busy with work, so I'm trying to get my post updated with the work I've done! Enjoy!
It's the MX4 Bakflip
So after a lot of waiting, the ARB rear locker has been installed and I'm 300 miles shy of it being broken in, once that happens, we will go test it out!
The compressor is set up in the jack area. It had a hole in the side of the frame that factory lines had already been ran in. So it made it...
Yes, it has been installed and my best advice to you is make sure to go to a ARB certified dealer. I made a mistake in not doing that. I'll PM you with the detail of it.
So I bought my Ranger back in late February and "slowly" started to make it my own. As of today these are the parts that I have added so far. I'll leave off all of the recovery gear that I bought, unless someone is wondering:
589 Fab Hidden Winch Mount
Rough Country 9500lbs Synthetic Rope...
So I bought everything from stage 3, even the stuff they recommended. I still have to order the other bearings from Ford. I found a company out here in NC that is a authorized ARB dealer and I'm having them install it all.
Everything is arriving this coming up Tuesday and then probably getting...
So I've had some down time since I got a lot of the work done on the ranger with the parts that have came in. I've been looking for a aftermarket rear diff for my 4x2 and didn't really think I needed one, but more like wanted one. So I went with the ARB rear locker. It still hasn't shipped yet...
