  1. Anyone say, I should have purchased a different truck?

Well said. Pick any specific vehicle forum and you will come away thinking that vehicle is junk. Yes, I am a bit worried about the longevity of the turbo and the 10r80 in my Ranger and glad I have a beater car for my work commute. I have a lot of sympathy for those hit with the heater box issue...
  2. 2023 XLT w/ Black Appearance pkg on Bronco OBX wheels and tires

Wow what a find. Never would have thought about those wheels on the Ranger but they look great.
  3. Ford Performance Tune/Tom Woods Custom Driveshaft

I bought the tune and ran it a couple of months. Back to stock for now and oddly the trans seems to shift a little better than it did before. I know it has to be my imagination. Thanks for sharing info on the driveshaft. This is on my shortlist now - if I keep my truck -. My truck has the mild...
  4. Tremors and high octane fuel

People are odd. I knew a guy who kept every car he owned washed and waxed and looking new inside out….. but would NEVER change oil in one. He would drive them until they started smoking and trade them.
  5. Tremors and high octane fuel

It’s almost like we live in neighboring states! ?. i didn’t know ya all was more than one sy…syl…. sillalabalulll.
  6. Tremors and high octane fuel

This is kinda of what I was trying to say but in English. My native language is Hillbilly. ?
  7. Tremors and high octane fuel

Yeah, I think is what the OP is wondering… and I do wonder myself as to why the gas mileage reports vary so much … even tho we all know it’s different drivers and different scenarios. You would think the results would be a bit closer in a way? As someone else said though, I’ve filled the truck...
  8. Tremors and high octane fuel

Unfortunately my scenario doesn’t help the OP either but I’ll share. I ran 87 until I installed the Ford tune. I seen 1mpg avg increase in mixed driving… 25 light city traffic and 75 highway on work commute. I went from 17-18 to near 20 on occasion but always a little over 19. Best tank was 25.3...
  9. Dreaded noisy fan

Considering my security camera catches two different neighborhood cats wandering around and under my truck all hours, let hope your theory is sound lol
  10. Dreaded noisy fan

That was the first thing that came to mind to me. I remember early 2000 blazers with the 4.3 sounding like a Harrier on take off
  11. 19-23 Ranger In-Console Phone Docking System [New Release]

Everyone has different needs and glad you found a good mount. Looks like a sturdy setup. I was looking for something 1)Hardwired 2)No exposed charging / CarPlay wires In my case the only time I used the “pocket” was to lay the phone in it after fumbling with a 6” cable to plug it in for the...
  12. Gun Related Pictures and Chat

I don’t have too many pics handy on my phone. This was my latest whim. 4.5” 10mm with the Holosun HE507c x2 2moa greendot. I have the same optic on my TX22 Competition. Love the “shake to wake” and auto sleep feature.
  13. Gun Related Pictures and Chat

CCI SV groups great in my MKII BTV thumb hole. 5 shot - 0.44”@50 yards with shaky hands at the helm. The SK Ammo stuff did that well at 100 ….but didn’t have time to shoot and see how repeatable the 100 yards shots were. I really need to shoot more often.
  14. Use Alexa to Start Your Ranger & More

That’s using your head ! I never thought of that even tho I’m big on using a guest account instead of admin on Windows machines. ?‍♂️?‍♂️?
  15. Use Alexa to Start Your Ranger & More

Very good write up with necessities listed. Didn’t mean to hijack a useful thread! Making our vehicles more useful is what makes the forums great. Thanks ! edit: someday I’ll get in the habit of proofreading my grammatically challenged concoctions.
  16. 19-23 Ranger In-Console Phone Docking System [New Release]

As promised, I didn’t finish my coffee before diving out the door this morning lol. The only thing that’s a negative is trying to wrap 2 ft of cable in but I’m guessing sourcing the ones that work is easier said than done and the include Tripp Lite is great quantity. Took 5 mins maybe to install...
  17. Use Alexa to Start Your Ranger & More

Yeah some of it can be disabled. Alexa is pretty useful for people who integrate it into their routine. I’m too stubborn to use the calendar on my phone for simple tasks unfortunately. Alexa is light years ahead of Siri and nearly as good as the Google Assistant but my tinfoil hat demanded I...
  18. Use Alexa to Start Your Ranger & More

This sounds great and all… but do you also get Alexa: “By the way, your fuel gauge is low, would you like me to suggest a place to fill up? I can also tell you the statistics of dying in traffic accidents as well as how bad your sports team sucks! Also, Toyota stock is through the roof. If you...
  19. 19-23 Ranger In-Console Phone Docking System [New Release]

Order arrived today! Sat with it the last half hour in semi crap lighting with old tired eyes ?. Without following instructions it’s really straightforward. Take your time and shim the phone case. My only issue is my case is a Dbrand Grip case. I can’t shim it quite as tight as I’d like to...
