Like the idea of a rear mount winch also since I won't be using it a ton, at least not while I'm just getting into this. Been watching a bunch of videos about reverse winching using multiple snatchblocks to go forward, so I think, as Mando says....
I actually bought those same steps. Had to angle it a bit to get it in there, and tape off a couple of the pivot points to keep from scratching the door panel.

I don't have one, but I would guess based just on this photo that it would not clear your tonneau with it in the closed position. Not sure if they make a shorter version anywhere.
