Get rid of the factory rear mono leaf springs and put multi-leaf springs. It will help get rid of that buckboard ride.

If you're going to replace the rear leafsprings, I wouldn't replace them with the factory leafsprings. Do yourself a favor and get a multileaf. Cheaper and your ride will definitely improve. I have the Icon. Do some research for yourself and get the ones that you feel will work best for you.

I use tow mode any time I'm driving below 45 mph (unless I forget to turn it off when I get on a highway ?). 7th gear and 30 mph isn't a good combination with the 10R80 transmission.

One more thing you can do is add LubeGard Platinum (15 oz). A few people said that they added it when they changed their fluid and it made a big difference to how it shifted.

If you want a better ride, replace the factoy rear mono leafsprings with multi-leafsprings. If you still have the factory shocks & struts, replace them as well. I have Icon 2.5 stage 6 and it's made a great change in how my Ranger rides. A lot of people have Bilstein 5100's.
