  1. 2019 ford ranger lariat 97,000 miles should I sell or keep.

Send me your VIN and I can tell you all the things done to it before you bought it. Might make you feel better...or worse.
  2. 2019 ford ranger lariat 97,000 miles should I sell or keep.

Did you buy it new? With that many miles on it I would bet a lot of the pattern failures were fixed during warranty.
  3. An update to a couple of problems I've recently posted about

It's used to make the clutch pack happy in an LSD. It's really all PFM*. Like I said, I don't THINK anything will happen, you PROBABLY won't even know it's there. But since you KNOW it's not correct, I'd have them fix it on their own dime. Of course they will just try to suck out as much as...
  4. An update to a couple of problems I've recently posted about

I just looked up the diff by the part number on the work order, it's definately not a limited slip. I looked up the fluid on Ford's online service info that is updated when there is a change, there is no additive mentioned for this differential. They made a mistake adding XL-3 to the fluid. I've...
  5. Auto lock on 2019 Ford ranger Wildtrak X greyed out

What the hell is Mislock anyway?
  6. Front Strut Failure at 16k miles?

I'd love to know how he determined the struts were bad. I'd bet they were not.
  7. Lower Control Arm Removal - NOT going well.

If the truck is in the air, there is no compression of the spring and it's captured by the strut. The instructions are correct. Are you saying the ball joint stud isn't popping out?
  8. PPE Deep Pan

Book time for a water pump replacement is 2.5 hours with no special tools needed. Not really a major effort.
  9. ssm 52722

Everyone her is going to be getting a letter from Ford this week to bring your truck in to have the APIM reprogrammed. This is called Customer Satisfaction Program 24B47.
  10. Exhaust

May the glow from your check engine light guide your way.
  11. The Most Important Question - Getting Dogs In

My 7 year old GSD still jumps into the back seat of my 4 door Lariat, but I need a set of steps for the future. If anyone has bought a Pet Loader set of stairs and could post some pictures of it deployed next to the truck seat it would be appreciated. There are a LOT of Pet Loader models and I'd...
  12. Horse tail coming out exhaust

I have the same problem right now on my 2019, any update on whether leaving it alone caused any problems? Money is tight and I'd rather pull the hair our when it appears than replace the muffler.
  13. Average life of the stock battery?

So I went to the dealer here in CT and bought a new battery, $208 plus state tax. Not terrible. My local Deka dealer wanted $245, and even though I use Deka in all my fleet trucks, forty bucks is forty bucks.
  14. Transmission work needed at 50,000 per Ford dealer

They love it if you ask if you can watch.
  15. I had to laugh, the very next morning after the 36 month warranty ended.. dead battery

How much was the Motorcraft? I just bought an AGM from the blue oval for my wife's 20 Escape and it didn't really raise my eyebrows too much. My Midtronics tester has just condemned the battery in my Ranger with the dreaded 'replace battery' after testing but I'm putting it off until the fall.
  16. Wheels spacers, are they really that bad?

I would never use wheel spacers, either in my shop or on my own vehicle. But I'm sure there are plenty of guys out there saying "I've been using spacers for 30 years and I've never had a problem!" And that's fine too, until something happens.
  17. Average life of the stock battery?

Stock battery on my 19, just checked it yesterday with a Midtronics conductance tester, said to replace the battery. 5 years is pretty good to me.
  18. HELP. Just did my plugs

I just did mine yesterday at 60K miles. I'm having a hard time seeing how you could bolt down the coil with the plug boot askew. Did you torque the plugs to 106 in/lbs I hope?
