    I used 5/40 Castrol Euro and I find the same thing, seems to help. I also added Hot Shots friction reducer with it. I can at least control it now. Have been able to keep it to the top hole or below for 2700 miles now!!

    Let it sit overnight and go by that level. I find that is the most accurate way to check it. Not what they tell you but that is the best way to check it!

    Damn you got me thinking about the sooty tailpipe. My tailpipe was really heavily covered with soot. I installed a AEM DRYFLOW FILTER, the trype that does not get oiled. I also went to 5/40 synthetic on account of fuel dilution. My tailpipe is no were near as sooty now, maybe more airflow helped...

    Ford is getting a real bad reputation not taking care of these problems. This is my first Ford since 93, and if they continue down this road of disrespecting their customers it will be my last Ford product! Maybe they don't care, but someday they will and it might be too late!

    I experience at least a 2MPG drop with the winter blend. I've experienced this with a number of different vehicles! Winter blend sucks!!
