Thank you! Overall, I don’t know but I’d estimate it’s about 2.5-3 inches taller than stock at the roof without the 2m antenna. The tires probably bring it up 1.25” and the front lift another 1.5” in the middle. The antenna is 23” tall, but it’s spring loaded and will bend to the height of the...
Here's a video of a Ranger a buddy of mine just finished upfitting for Massport. I think it's going to be an airport fire vehicle, hence the green lights.
HEADPHONE WARNING: SIREN COMES ON SUDDENLY watch your volume
Thank you! I'm planning on two Whelen Strip-Lite Plus DUO Red/Amber (or White/Amber, not sure yet) lightheads under the tailgate. I have to be picky about the lights that I use because they're going to be controlled by a Cantrol, so they can't use an internal flasher.
Going from internally...
Brisk, but smooth acceleration has been shown to be more efficient than a loooong, drawn out acceleration. Engines are most efficient at their peak torque, so the longer you can keep them either under-load or coasting, the more efficient you'll be.
If you HAMMER it, stock-tune EcoBoosts tend to...
I have a few "reference corners" in town with good runoff (just in case) and the Ranger is pretty impressive for a truck of its stature. The 285s and 1.5" wheel spacers add a little over 4 inches to the width measured at the outer sidewalls, which I'm sure helps.
The FiST is still the fast one...
I've only seen two others pulling campers, with a third in the process of building an ultra-light camper! It's a lot of fun, because you can set up camp, and then hit all of the good driving roads unencumbered.
Few from a road trip I took in 2018. Really made me fall in love with the PNW, someday I hope to move out there.
Also need to take the Ranger more places so I can feature it in these! The Fiesta has officially retired from camper duty.
Started figuring out a bracket to mount some Whelen ION Duo lights in the rear window. Having a sliding rear window and no clothes hooks in the headliner meant I had to get creative, a normal light stick or RST Inner Edge won't have anything to mount to without drilling through the headliner...
Under the bumper are five pop clips to remove the plastic above the tow hooks, I removed the 4 outer ones and bolted the lights through the holes. Would've been a lot easier with the grille out to access the nuts on the back side of the bumper OR with only two lights, but there's enough room to...
Finally got a nice day off to wire up the Baja Designs lights, and WOW, they're bright. I currently have them wired to the switch that comes with the Lightforce fascia, eventually I'll separate the wide and spot pairs with a two-button Lightforce switch. When the switch is active, the lights...
Took a trip down to Allentown, PA from Massachusetts last weekend. 1,096 miles including some running around in PA. 75% interstate 70-75mph, 20% two-lane 50-55mph, 5% city. 20.9 on the computer, 21.1 hand calculated. Lariat, FX4 (no air dam), 2.25" leveling kit, 285/70R17 tires (speedometer...
I do have a 501a Lariat, which is why I was surprised your configuration didn't work. According to the F-150 sheet, these are the differences in the values.
I used 8 because it changed my original value of 0 from MMI Disabled to Enabled without changing anything else.
Little update: I copied your configuration and while the climate button was on the screen, none of the buttons on it worked. Also my TCS Off button stopped working, diff wouldn't lock, vents only blew defrost, etc, so I changed it back and looked at the F-150 spreadsheet to narrow down exactly...
Can confirm, experienced the same loss of the climate button and this fixed it!
Also did 7D-02-01 5553 xxxx xxxx instead of 5753 xxxx xxxx and it retains the US style radio and signage.
To turn off stability control, press and hold the traction control button for 5-10 seconds. You'll see the TC Off screen, and then a few seconds later, the AdvanceTrac Off screen and the TC light will flash in acknowledgement.
Lock the diff if you have one and let 'er rip! Crappy phone video...
