  1. Tonneau Covers - Extang VS Bakflip MX4

Ive had the MX4 for almost 2 years, still looks/works great with minimal water leakage. I do not know anyone with Extang but Bakflip is definitely worth the investment.
  2. Things I feel are missing/or needed on a Ranger

Rotary dials instead of buttons for climate control Electric power sliding rear window Moonroof …after almost 2 years of owning my Ranger, those are really the only things I wish were offered.
  3. How many miles your Dueler H/T s last?

25,000 is about all I got out of mine as well before they were in the 4-5/32nd range. I was hoping for 45-50k but that was wishful thinking for those Duelers. Discount Tire had a promotion on Michelin Defender LTX M/S - I immediately noticed the improvement from the OEM set. Id recommend...
  4. BAKFLIP Feedback questions - Help Please

Ive had the MX4 for a little over a year, my feedback pretty much matches everyone else on here. Just like anything else, you get what you pay for. You can get a good tonneau cover for $300ish or a really good one for $1,000ish Is it expensive? Yes Is it good quality? Also Yes Is it the best...
  5. Bed extender

Ive got the Amp Research Sport extender which I think is the same company that makes the ford version. Im very happy with it and its super easy to take out if needed (tilt to about 45 degrees and it slides out) Honestly I find it gets more use as a grocery corral than a bed extender but thats...
  6. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Those look great! What is Those look great! What is your opinion of the retention clips? Ive got the Weather Tech mats and the retention clips are weak at best.
  7. Question about Tonneau Cover and Spray-On Bedliner

Exactly, I had the extender before I decided to go with Line-X, but I left the hardware for the extender “finger-tight” and my Line-X shop was able to reinstall them after the spray was complete. great choice for the AMP Extender, Line-X & tonneau cover! Please post pics when its finished!
  8. What Is the Name/Nickname of Your Ranger?

    I definitely named it Walker!
  9. Floor Liners Poll

I agree completely. I have Weathertech floor liners now and they will not stay snapped to the floor. The OEM are slightly better - I was able to swap the OEM & Weathertech snap systems but I wish there was a better way to keep them secured. My previous vehicle was a 2011 Hyundai SUV with a...
  10. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Sometime in the past week I accidently installed an air pressure removal device on one of my tires. Not a fan of this mod and Ill be going to get it removed soon. Wouldnt recommend this mod!
  11. Best folding Tono Cover recommendation.

Ive had the Bakflip MX4 for about a year and Ive been very happy with it. $1,000 was at the high end, but Im glad I didnt go the cheap route on this.
  12. What would you spend $1000 on?

Have some fun with the $1,000 and get something that youll enjoy. The most enjoyable $1,000 purchase Ive made so far is the Line-X color match spray on liner. Definitely a splurge and I dont regret spending extra for the color match.
  13. WeatherTech Side Window Deflector issue.

I have the same Weathertech deflectors on my windows as well, it definitely did the same thing at first as well. It takes a few weeks and a few warm days in the sunlight but eventually they will go up/down without problem. There is always going to be a minor “bump” sound when the window contacts...
  14. Deflectors

no, this is made by AVS and has a small white AVS logo printed on it. Im pretty sure they are the same company that make them for Ford as well though.
  15. Deflectors

+1 for the AVS Aeroskin. Ive got the AVS II (slightly different design, ~$85 amazon) and it works great for stone chips. Applied with 3M tape, 100% sealed againt the hood for a low profile appearance. Zero problems with hood closing because there isnt anything in the gap between grill & hood...
  16. LINEX costs?

Im not sure Im buying the cost & time needed for this. Mine was completely done in 1 day for under $1100 (color match Line-X). I would definitely call around to other dealers in the area before going any further. To be fair, my Line-X dealer did say not to get in the bed and just leave the...
  17. Bug/hood shields?

I saw that in the instructions as well, but it looked really goofy having the 1/4” strip of hood exposed between the grill & Aeroskin. (Im also too OCD and it would drive me crazy if it wasnt exactly .25” all the way across!) I purchased this more as a stone & gravel protector rather than...
  18. Bug/hood shields?

no worries at all about running it thru a carwash (instructions say its best to wait 24-48 hours before trying). Since the tape is designed to hold strong at interstate speeds you should be fine with just about any car wash as well. No discoloration or damage underneath, but since its basically...
  19. Bug/hood shields?

My commute to the office is about 90% interstate and I noticed the leading edge of the hood was starting to get a lot more stone/rock chips than I was really comfortable with. Like you I wanted something low-profile. I went with the AVS Aeroskin II (amazon ~$85). It used a healthy amount of 3M...
  20. Best Mods for New Ranger

dang! I thought I was the only one on here with the blue Line-X color match!
