  1. 265/70R17 vs. 275/65R17

Taller and narrower will be better in winter driving, mud, loose gravel and it will roll over obstacles better.
  2. 295 65 18 procomp

  6. Rear End Lift Options?

  7. Rear End Lift Options?

“The Ranger Tremor is suspended by a set of Fox 2.0 monotube shocks that come with external reservoirs for better cooling and a specially tuned set of front coil springs and rear leaf springs.” MotorTrend Rear end is supposedly lifted .08”
  8. Rear End Lift Options?

I see, I thought I read the rear is raised as well.
  9. Rear End Lift Options?

  10. Exhaust question

The AWE has a reducer on it, so it fits the stock mid-pipe.
  11. Exhaust question

I may still get the AWE and take it to an exhaust shop to fabricate a custom one. I was hoping to save money by doing the install myself. Decisions, decisions, decisions......
  12. Exhaust question

It looks that way, I’m not sure why they don’t offer a cat-back option. I was going to go with AWE, but now I’m thinking Magnaflow for this reason.
  13. Sacramento Off-road Shops

Looking for shop recommendations in Sacramento area to do suspension work. I’m looking at UCA install with coilovers. Thanks!
  14. Rear fender rocker protection

He’s probably wrong there. I would ask them to be replaced under warranty if they are peeling.
  15. Anyone tried the Michelin Cross Climate tires on their Ranger?

No, I’m strictly talking Blizzaks. It’s all about the rubber compound. Everyone puts hundreds of sipes in their tires. Nokian Hakkapalitta and Bridgestone Blizzaks are just a step above in the winter categories.
  16. Anyone tried the Michelin Cross Climate tires on their Ranger?

Nice, I’ve been eyeing those and the Bridgestones. I like that the Coopers are lighter and made in the USA is a plus too. The rubber compound of the Nokian and Bridgestones are just superior to everyone else. They have a bit of marshmallow feel as things warm up, but are crazy good in the cold.
  17. Anyone tried the Michelin Cross Climate tires on their Ranger?

Unless you drive like a maniac on dry roads, you will be fine with winter tires. I ran the Michelin LTX Winter for 2 seasons on my Tundra. It did really well on the trips from Sac up to LT. Held up really well on that heavy truck in above freezing temps. Never had any issues on warm dry...
  18. Anyone tried the Michelin Cross Climate tires on their Ranger?

You live in LT, get the Blizzak DMV, or LTs. It rarely gets above 45 up there, correct? Perfect spot for winters. I’m down the hill in Sac and I’m gonna switch back and forth between winters and daily tires when I’m headed up to ski.
  19. Do Load Range E tires improve towing feel?

They are in completely different classes, if you want to compare the Generals to Coopers, I think you need to look at the Discover AT3 LT. Those ST Maxx compare more to General’s mud tire. The AT3 LT and more so the AT3 4s are considered the best tire in the snow and ice outside of a true snow tire.
  20. Who Has Replaced Their Stock Fog Lights?

I read your thread, thanks! Seems like the switching back and forth can be annoying and the amount of lumens the “pro” versions of the full replacements are more what I’m after.
