Even driving my 98" 2.5L Ranger as hard as I could, I would still get 25mpg. That engine had about half the power/torque of the new Ranger 2.3L EB and was a single cab truck which makes a difference.
The new engine is about 2x as powerful and isn't quite 2x the size. Torque is also about...
We should expect them to be similar. They stated that they used the T6 Ranger as the basis and reworked all the body panels. I used some T6 numbers as placeholders until we have actual reported numbers.
I would be super interested in getting the RR vs the Ranger if it had the 2.7L in it! There are lots of tuning options out there for that engine that would make it a beast in that truck!
The cells marked with light yellow and the text greyed out is because the information isn't officially know. those are approximate placeholder values and will be updated when there is more information.

Sources say that a 7 speed manual is in the works and is most likely going to be paired with a 2.7L EB. If this is true, and since the Ranger and Bronco are sharing a platform, this gives hope that the RR...
I am aware. I used the best numbers for each truck in the towing and payload section. I will update those as soon as I can collect all the information for the specific vehicle configs.
4 door for all trucks. Each manufacturer has different nomenclature. I am using best rates for the newly added towing/payload figures. I will fine tune them for the specific vehicle configs.
Figured I would post this so I can just update it as more information rolls out. If there is incorrect information please let me know. I would be happy to explain anything you think is dubious. Ranger highlighted stats are guessed and are not known at this time.

HP is a little lower than I was hoping for but the torque didn't disappoint. I am wonder how much fuel economy played into the final numbers. Still waiting on that stat.
The Truck Show Podcast recently interviewed Hermann Salenbauch, the Global Director for Ford Performance Vehicles. The talk about the original Raptor move through the history of Raptor and then discuss how and why the Ranger Raptor fits into their vehicle lineup. The direct question about if the...
An F-150 tuned 2.L EB puts out 325HP and 400 lb-ft of torque. At those numbers, at the expected weight of the RR, it would be comparable to the F-150 Raptor. Here is the rub. The 2.7L is tunable right now. Why drop and engine into a truck that could immediately be tuned in such a way as to...
Looks like Ford might be starting to push incentives for the Ranger.
EDIT: Fine Print - *Preorder by 1/2/19 and then take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford Dealer's stock by 7/2/19. See dealer for details. **$750 on the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger XLT or LARIAT only. May not combine...

I hope I am wrong. Unfortunately I have run the numbers and it just doesn't work in Ford's favor any other way based on existing engines. That said, have you see the torque/power curves on the 2.3L in the Ford Focus RS? The torque starts to drop off at 5500 rpm but the hp is there to take it up...
I don't know if Ford tightened up the body panels on the World spec Ranger Raptor (RR) like they have the new US spec Ranger. If they didn't, I would expect them to do that so it holds a little more true with the US Ranger. I expect a high output 2.3L Ecoboost in the RR which would keep power to...
@Saddle Tramp Posted in another thread that the Mexican version of the XLT 4x4 is converting to about 26MPG. While this would be class leading in the US, I would still expect the US spec Ranger to do a bit better. Remember that it has all new DANA solid rear and Dana IFS (Independent Front...
If they released the engine at 310hp and 350 lb-ft and if the weight comes in somewhere around 4,400 lbs (it should based on segment numbers) then the Ranger would have approximately the same power to weight ratios as the 2.7L in the F-150. If you compare similar builds and trims the Ranger...
