soo, they can't supply their current power needs, and have rolling black outs, now they want to lead the nation in electric cars, and get rid of all small engines? good luck powering that.
I guess we are not in same page. If your ranger does not have the (53R) tow package it
Sorry, but that is not correct see attached. Without the 53R tow package the Ranger is only rated at 3,500 lbs, see the attached doc from Ford
be that as it may, without the "Tow Haul" option, the truck is only rated for 350 lbs tongue weight & 3500 lbs towing. (see the Ford Tow rating document i attached in previous comment)
Nope..
Base ranger has a class 3 receiver, rated at 350lb / 3,500lbs
The "Tow Package" adds a Class 4 receiver with a 750lb / 7,500lb tow capacity
See chart (attached) from Ford
It is a punched hole with a projection welded fastener behind it . We make Automotive stampings and assemblies for the OEMs, so lot's of experience with these
I totally agree with your comments on the surveys.. as for the "Cheesy cutbacks deleting items", all the OEM's discontent vehicles in order to reduce cost and stay profitable. Not saying it is right, but it is common practice, especially from the Big 3
My XL STX came with Blacked out emblems from the factory, no idea why or how, but there is no chrome on the front or back
EDIT - OK, i said all black, then walked out and looked at the truck, the Front still has a Chrome Bexel, but the back is all black
I sit in on supply chain calls daily, none of the existing chip makers have capacity that is not already sold or allocated to other commodities. If they did there would not be shortage. It will take at least a year for this to get back to normal
it is a good start, however this will not help them for the next 18 months, they will have to build the equipment to make the new chips, they do not have current capacity.
