That's what I thought. As I have the row springs and no vibrations since the Tom Woods shaft. All I had with the stock shaft was a launch shudder that went away @5mph

Bummer, how much lift do you have? Mine is 2.5" in the front and 1" in the rear. I haven't had vibrations since installed. I Wonder if the ROW springs have any impact on this?

I'd call shawn and ask him what he thinks. There was one member that got a shaft out of balance but they took care of it. I wouldn't be in such a hurry to send it back.

If you go by the chart with sae specs a member posted, the stock driveshaft reaches critical speed at around 80mph (IIRC). I've had the Tom Woods for 35k miles. Been to triple digits more than once with stock and 33" tires. I've never felt any problems or vibrations of any kind. YMMV.

But with Tom Woods driveshaft its one and done. Not changing bushings to try to fix what the part was supposed to fix.

I agree with what your saying, but at this point I've decided to go a different route. Might even be a RAPTOR, they have a used one for $80k waiting for them to come down

Update, this did not work out. After a 2 week wait they discovered it would be another 2-3 weeks before the manufacturer could complete and ship the order. Not wanting to wait 2-3 weeks longer I canceled the order. While amber treated me decent in texts. Real truck dropped the ball on the order...

I wouldn't do it period! It will have an affect on abs braking it will have an affect on steering and handling. It's just not a good idea. Either live with the rake or install a Leveling kit. Be safe!

Those are the ones. They are great worth the money. They give them to you free if you purchase any audio equip for you truck. And the only thing original in mine is the speaker wiring.

I bought the cable online, close to $40 shipped if I remember right. And if you purchase any upgrades for your truck from crutchfeld they will email instructions on how to take the dash apart. And they are detailed.

I also wanted to update this thread that the cable was the fix. Almost 4 months now and playing as normal.
