The poor heat on the feet seems to be a standard thing on our trucks. Read it all over here and I have the same thing. Seems to come out much stronger on the passenger side.
I have rears, don't have fronts but I can tell you for a fact raising the front end 1.5" will most definitely throw your alignment out enough that you should get it aligned asap. You will get a bunch of positive camber and it will throw your tow out as well.
I suppose if the Big Mouth truly gave 2mpg gain, then that is probably the best bang for your buck upgrade for gas mileage. Looks like they are about $130 shipped. Still though, lets say you get two gallons extra per tank, that's about $5.60 for 2 gallons of 87 here. So you'd have to go through...

87- the truck is tuned for 87 and I don't need more performance. As long as Ford is warrantying it on 87 I'm running it on 87.
Last vehicle was a Fiesta ST track car that ran on a 91 / e85 blend and a few of my race bikes run on 110 leaded race gas blends. I'm super over running expensive fuels...
Not worth it for $150. FX4 and XLT 4x4 are the same ride height.
If you wanna spend some money start with rear dampers like some Fox, Eibach, or Bilstein that will support a slight lift. Then down the road you can get leveled struts, coilovers, or a lift kit.
