Soooo, youāre saying I might be able to address the intake valve deposit issue by adding this baffle plate and a better check valve? Rather than the other method of leaving the OEM baffle & check valve in place, then addressing the residual oil issue by installing an oil catch can?
If I...
Iām currently out on a trip so I wonāt have a chance to look even download my stock map and send it to 5-star until Friday morning. The problem previously was that I couldnāt send my stock maps to 5-star without a firmware update for the Ngauge tuner, it wouldnāt talk to the Ranger at all.
I...
If you pre-ordered like me, you got an Ngauge that wouldnāt talk to the ā19 Ranger without a firmware update. So you have to update the firmware first, which just became available, then download your stock map and email it to 5-star, then they can deliver your new custom maps.
Hereās...
I bought an N-Gauge tuner from 5-star Tuning that will supposedly be able to correct my speedo. 5-Star was waiting on N-Gauge to provide a firmware update to support the ā19 Ranger so they can provide their tunes for the truck. Looks like 5-Star just updated their website, itās no longer showing...
To answer your other question, Iām not sure if it actual Line-X coating, I just saw that brand name thrown around on reviews. Apparently it holds up extremely well against wear.
Probably nothing restricting you from doing it that way. You could call the Diamondback guys and ask if you could spray it at a later date and see what they say.
The SE version (400lb capacity) is considerably cheaper at $1649, with the black line-x coating. The non-coated versions for the SE and HD are $1329 and $1729, respectively.
I wanted the HD version because I plan on hauling heavy loads (think ATVs and a rooftop tent mounted to the cover). It...
Iāve been playing with tire pressures on my truck. Iām running Falken WildPeak A/T3W tires in a 275/65-18. So far Iāve found that running less in the rear doesnāt seem to effect my gas mileage but it does have a significant impact on smoothing out the rear end.
Right now Iām running 38psi...
Just checked my torques today and was surprised how many parts needed follow-up attention. Thatās while using threadlocker and/or new nylon nuts.
The Axle Nut on one side pulled through a bit further before reaching 215 ft/lbs.
So I performed my first oil change today at 1,582 miles. And when I went to reset the oil life in the vehicle settings menu I noticed that I had 87% oil life. Which means that if I had only used 13% of the oil life, the truck has 12,000 mile change interval. I thought that it was remarkably...
Thanks for the pics from the oil change. Hitting the 1500 mile mark next week and Iām going to change oil/filter at the same time I go back through to recheck the torque on everything that was touched during the BDS lift install.
Itās on their site. I just ordered the āblack eliteā system, on sale for $677, regular price is $956. For a stainless system with a black tip, thatās a good deal...
