  1. Oil Catch Can. Yes or No?

Soooo, you’re saying I might be able to address the intake valve deposit issue by adding this baffle plate and a better check valve? Rather than the other method of leaving the OEM baffle & check valve in place, then addressing the residual oil issue by installing an oil catch can? If I...
  2. Need firmware for 5-star Ngauge Tuner? I have it.

I’m currently out on a trip so I won’t have a chance to look even download my stock map and send it to 5-star until Friday morning. The problem previously was that I couldn’t send my stock maps to 5-star without a firmware update for the Ngauge tuner, it wouldn’t talk to the Ranger at all. I...
  3. Need firmware for 5-star Ngauge Tuner? I have it.

If you pre-ordered like me, you got an Ngauge that wouldn’t talk to the ā€˜19 Ranger without a firmware update. So you have to update the firmware first, which just became available, then download your stock map and email it to 5-star, then they can deliver your new custom maps. Here’s...
  4. Programmer to adjust Speedo/Odometer for new tire size

I bought an N-Gauge tuner from 5-star Tuning that will supposedly be able to correct my speedo. 5-Star was waiting on N-Gauge to provide a firmware update to support the ā€˜19 Ranger so they can provide their tunes for the truck. Looks like 5-Star just updated their website, it’s no longer showing...

  6. Go Rhino - now shipping "Raptor style" RB20 Running Boards

Those are the best looking running boards I’ve seen offered yet (excluding the $1k ADD sliders/running boards).
  7. Diamondback Covers

To answer your other question, I’m not sure if it actual Line-X coating, I just saw that brand name thrown around on reviews. Apparently it holds up extremely well against wear.
  8. Diamondback Covers

Probably nothing restricting you from doing it that way. You could call the Diamondback guys and ask if you could spray it at a later date and see what they say.
  9. Diamondback Covers

The SE version (400lb capacity) is considerably cheaper at $1649, with the black line-x coating. The non-coated versions for the SE and HD are $1329 and $1729, respectively. I wanted the HD version because I plan on hauling heavy loads (think ATVs and a rooftop tent mounted to the cover). It...
  10. Diamondback Covers

It’s FINALLY available for the 5 foot beds. I just ordered mine, the HD version with the optional CrossBin 13 box.
  11. Tire pressures, 5psi less in the rear

I’ve been playing with tire pressures on my truck. I’m running Falken WildPeak A/T3W tires in a 275/65-18. So far I’ve found that running less in the rear doesn’t seem to effect my gas mileage but it does have a significant impact on smoothing out the rear end. Right now I’m running 38psi...
  12. Reminder: Check Torques after 500 miles w/ lift kit

Just checked my torques today and was surprised how many parts needed follow-up attention. That’s while using threadlocker and/or new nylon nuts. The Axle Nut on one side pulled through a bit further before reaching 215 ft/lbs.
  13. What oil will you be running after your 1st oil change?

So I performed my first oil change today at 1,582 miles. And when I went to reset the oil life in the vehicle settings menu I noticed that I had 87% oil life. Which means that if I had only used 13% of the oil life, the truck has 12,000 mile change interval. I thought that it was remarkably...
  14. BDS 2" Leveling Kit now available

Any alignment shop will tell you to have the new wheels/tires installed before alignment if you’re changing tire size and/or wheel offset.
  15. Tuned Ford Ranger goes 0-60 in 5.49s! [NGauge Tune]

I’m trying to remain patient, at this rate I’ll be emailing them to include the Gibson exhaust I just ordered into my tunes.
  16. RCMUSTANG's Magnetic FX4

Thanks for the pics from the oil change. Hitting the 1500 mile mark next week and I’m going to change oil/filter at the same time I go back through to recheck the torque on everything that was touched during the BDS lift install.
  17. Gibson Exhaust now available

It’s on their site. I just ordered the ā€œblack eliteā€ system, on sale for $677, regular price is $956. For a stainless system with a black tip, that’s a good deal...
  18. Leveled and 33,s

I’m sure they had to use a modest (3/8ā€) spacer, otherwise I’d say it rubs the spindle.
  19. BDS 2" Leveling Kit now available

I expected as much, but have gotten nothing. They did not include any specs with the kit, and the tech guys had no specs to pass on to me either.
