I have the Diamondback HD cover. I can’t say enough good things about it. I haven’t put an ATVs on it but I’ve put some loads greater than 400lbs on it, and it didn’t phase it one bit. I have the larger of the two crossbins (Toolboxes) offered for the front half of the bed, it is very useful...
Yes, you’ll need to adjust the headlamps. I already have the BDS 2” leveling kit on my truck, and the headlamps were WAY off. But it’s a remarkably fast and simple fix. There is an adjustment screw above each headlamp, you don’t have to remove anything to access them, just pop the hood. I...
I’m not feeding the troll anymore. If you need scientific evidence to prove that eating 4 meals a day from McDonalds is making you fat, I’m not your guy. Everyone is showing you the weight scale and you’re screaming you need more proof. We were just trying to be helpful, nobody actually cares...
My family owns and operates a Ford Dealership. I’ve filled out warranty claims myself, it’s a “real thing” dude. Telling yourself it is not an issue will not make it go away. It’s not a matter of if but when. I really like the EcoBoost engines and I bought this vehicle knowing that if I were...
I spliced into my 12v power port in my bed and then I spliced an optional remote wire into the harness for the tag lights. The lights in the bed come on anytime the lights are on, so obviously anytime it’s running at night, when I remote start the truck, or the truck is unlocked via remote or by...
Right. And the primary issue is not the residual oil being burned in the combustion chamber, it’s the oil being baked onto the backside of the intake valves because with direct fuel injection there in no fuel present to wash the valves; just a lot of air (with a little oil and water vapor mixed...
You have to place your foot parallel with the slider when you step on them, which is how I use running boards/steps anyway, but my size 13 foot fits on it. To be fair, I don’t really need steps, as I’m 6’4” and have zero problems entering and exiting the vehicle. But my wife, my son, and my dog...
BagMan is correct, I was referring to the “stick nuts.” I have absolutely zero chatter. I just drove across an extremely bumpy field yesterday and the truck’s body, suspension, and newly installed sliders were virtually silent.
I bent the tabs in towards the frame and backwards so they wouldn’t catch/collect anything and also centered inside the oval hole so they wouldn’t chatter against the frame. So long as they don’t chatter I’ll leave them alone, but if they do I’ll use a small screw to secure them to the frame.
Alright truck is washed up, here’s some more pics. I took some pics low and away so you can see the underside of the truck. The sliders are flush with the frame so they don’t cost you an inch of ground clearance. And they do a nice job of cleaning up (covering up) where the body meets the frame...
I wasn’t exaggerating when I said “it’s probably the most sturdy part of the truck now.” What you’re looking at is thick-walled tubular and square steel. The frame will bend before these sliders do.
Shrockworks sliders were delivered this morning, so exactly 4 weeks from my initial order. They came remarkably well packed and the quality of the sliders is absolutely TOP NOTCH; probably the most sturdy part of the truck. I would venture a guess to say the side-impact safety of the truck just...
Just got my bill of lading (shipping invoice) forwarded from Shrockworks. I placed my order on 8/22/19, so it took about 3 weeks for mine to ship (granted I was probably one of the first orders). It is coming via RoadRunner Transportation directly to my house. Excited to get them on the truck...
That is definitely weird, I think you might have a possible red flag there. I would recommend asking your local 4x4 shop who they recommend taking a look at your alignment again. I agree that your alignment numbers look good. I have a little bit of road feedback with my hand on the wheel at the...
If you have already rotated and re-balanced the wheels/tires I suspect you have an alignment issue. Do you have the alignment sheet? They may have pushed something out of spec to get your positive camber back to zero. I put a 2 inch leveling kit on my FX4 and I run the same Falken WildPeak AT3W...
