I did. I used 3.5" lift even though I really have a level and it still gave me that warning. I could proceed if I wanted to and buy them but I would hate to get to the shop and then be told they won't install. I'll just have to call them.
Did you buy these at Discount Tire? I tried adding this size to my cart and I got a message stating Discount will only install tires that are factory rated or something and it made me hold off on purchasing.
Wow good memory! I’m still rocking the setup but finding less time to use it. I like this factory concept and I’m sure the aftermarket would do all sorts of cool things with it. Wonder what the weight limit is for static and dynamic loads with it lifted? I can’t really drive with mine extended...
I swear I searched all over trying to find pics of the svc light bar and only found a couple. Now that I put one on my truck I’ve seen several people post up!
I havent looked at the GFC site in awhile. It's crazy how big the business has gotten and you can get them delivered to multiple pick up spots now (for a fee). I wanted to get one before getting my topper but driving to Montana seemed outrageous.
I have a Leer 100 XR topper on my truck. I got it in 2021 and I believe it was around $3000 installed then. But it was brand new, painted to match my truck and optioned just how I wanted, including a locking system tied into the factory keyless entry. I skipped the windoors due to cost and how...
Thanks. The specs vs price point seemed really good when I was looking at lights. Glad to see you agree even thought you said KC lights were garbage way back when lol
Well this thread is old and got quite sidetracked but over a year later I finally got 6” round lights mounted on the front of my truck. Bit the bullet and got the SVC light bar and a pair of KC Slimlites. They definitely work well enough for me. Oh and while I was at it I got some Diode Dynamics...
you’re right, the box lists a 4 amp draw. I assume that’s per light.Since Both lights are going to be on one switch I guess 10 amps might not be enough margin of error so KC bumped up to a 20 amp fuse. Kinda sucks I don’t have a 20 amp circuit. 30 seems too high and 10 too low. Maybe I’m just...
I installed a Trigger 4 last week. The 4 comes with two 30 amp fuses and two 10 amp fuses. The Trigger 6 adds two 5 amp fuses. My new 50 watt KC slimlights have a fusible link in the supplied wiring harness (that I’m not using) that is 20 amps so I have to use a 30 amp circuit for them. So it...
The Lariat package really doesn't include anything I would want except for the lights. Might as well change your order to an XLT.
Sort of related, but the Tacoma has an LED headlight option on most trim levels which is separate. I believe it was only like 4 or 500 bucks to add too. Not sure...
It just plugs into the 12v socket. I'm still deciding which one of the all in one battery kits I want to get (Jackery, Ecoflow, etc) but the plan would be to use one of those to power it and charge it back up using solar or the alternator.
Wow I have not updated you guys in quite awhile. We have camped successfully for multiple nights and multiple trips now. We somehow have still not encountered significant rain with this setup but I still don’t expect any rain issues. There was a huge downpour at one camp spot but it was during...
Yes the armrest cover was a nice bonus! I wasn't expecting it. It's been a year since I installed these and they look brand new. Not a single sign of wear anywhere on them. Definitely a great purchase.
Main differences from XLT to Lariat are the headlights, leather seats and B&O stereo (if optioned). Power seats are standard on lariat but optional on XLT. B&O might be optional on XLT I'm not sure. There are a bunch of little things like Homelink, interior accent lighting, turn signals on...
