Morning all. I've searched this forum for the past 20 minutes and didn't see this topic anywhere. So when one of you replies immediately and posts a link to a previous thread.... well all I can say is "sorry."
I sometimes look around the 6G forum. And in that world the subject of J Braces for...
On road this week. Summer time. People traveling. Rentals are in demand. My normal "grab a Ford" was not an option. So.... driving a Ram. (That's a Dodge for those of us of a certain age.)
This truck was built in March 2024. Ram 1500 Classic. Work truck. I mean Plain Jane spec wise. V6 per the...
Now that a number of us are proud owners of our very own Fitz Stick, has anyone had their truck in the shop at the dealer and had a tech notice the stick? If so, what was the reaction?
Didn't want to clutter the ever growing "I want a Fitz Stick!" thread with this question.
Well, I've talked a LOT of smack about Tesla over the years. But it's now been proven to me that the folks running Tesla are smarter than I've given them credit for.
Never let it be said that I won't admit to being wrong.
If you've not already seen this review, it's a pretty interesting read. Sounds like the Taco is greatly improved... up to and including that previously god awful seating position. Now, I personally still wouldn't buy one of the damn things... but to give credit where credit is due, sounds like...
Anybody seen anything about a Ranger 5th wheel set up? No mention in the article but definitely a Ranger in the pic.

Edit: it appears that I need to clarify. I have...
Pretty cool European truck camper now available in the US. Really pushing the weight limits of the Ranger in my mind (Never mind the owners manuals saying no to TC) but pretty doggone cool.
Wouldn't work in my life as it is missing the one big requirement if my wife is going to accompany...
This hit my news feed. Just watched the video and my mind is blown. Between his skills, the technology of the engine... all of it. Mind blown. Not sure I've ever been so focused during a 10 minute video.
Fingers crossed my link sharing attempt works.
Sitting here this morning getting caffeinated and catching up on my 5G threads. Was just in a thread where a few of my fine fellow forum members mentioned never seeing an ad for the Ranger. Which made me remember........
About 3 - 4 weeks ago I had a Ranger commercial hit my Instagram feed...
Often wondered about Ford watching these forums. While my truck has been stellar, a couple of members here have had a few minor complaints. Never any sort of response or input from Ford.
Yet check out this post from the Maverick forum. (Not a member there. This item hit my news feed.) If I...

Sounds Ike they got the Taco right this time.
That said, doesn't change the fact that it is still a toyota. :surprised:
Got an appt. this morning. Was very pleased to see that the business recognizes that something as special as the Ranger needs a special parking space.
For someone that lives in fear, and occasional rage, of clueless butthead door dingers this is a beautiful thing!
Just a humorous tale. We often laugh here about the Taco and it's silly, pathetic, transmission constantly downshifting on the highway. Well, while heading to vacation on Saturday, at one point I was on the interstate passing a Tundra. He was pulling a boat. Boat was nothing major. Probably a 16...
On vacation. Loving it. Great time. Don't head back until Sunday. Gonna enjoy every single day of vacation until then. :handsinair: Truly dread returning to work next Monday. :puke:
All that said... I cannot wait for the drive back!:like::clap: Yep. Luv'n me some Ranger.
Warden would...
With all of the transmission fluid level discussions I've never seen this mentioned. Article talks about the trasmission having a built in dipstick. Do our Rangers have this?

I looked for a current oil change thread but did not find one. If I missed it and should have posted there versus a new thread, my apologies.
First oil change today. Truck has 6500 miles on it. Was shooting for 7500 miles but have a 1000 mile road trip coming up so did it ahead of time.
Went...
Was just reading the latest. Supposed to primarily affect engineers. Trying to wrap my head around that one. Wouldn't engineering be the last area you would make cuts?
Just seems really strange to me. Most companies are constantly struggling to find engineers to hire.
On the road this week. Rental happens to be a '23 F150 XLT 4x4. Not a bad truck. Got 6K+ miles on it so broken in. I've put about 125+ miles on it so far. Probably 80/20 highway / city.
For me personally, this truck has 100% confirmed that the Ranger was the right decision for me. Good to know...
Need some input from the more mechanically intelligent folks on here... so the other 97% of you just back away from the keyboard and take a seat. I kid! I kid!
So I've decided to buy a Tremor wheel for my spare. But here's where my confusion starts. (On this subject... don't get me...
