If you have the same problem with the $40 USB, then you should be getting another one soon.
I received an email from them. Read below.
Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for placing your recent SYNC® 3 Navigation Map Update order! We know you are excited to install the new 2020 Navigation...
Quick question. When it's updating the software, it should say "Updating System Software" up top the whole time, correct? (See example picture)
I see it for a brief moment on my display and then it goes back to displaying the time.
The USB became very hot to the touch after a while. It's a...
My FordPass sent a message saying there's a new update for the navigation maps. Tried to install it after putting everything on the USB. It gave me an LST_ERR05 error. I know I did everything right because I installed the previous update with no problem. Tried several times. Still.....same...
Those are cool. I had something similar from Black and Decker years ago. The bad thing is.........once the batteries no longer holds the charge, the whole thing is useless.
Not sure if the Jackery 500 is the same way.
There is plenty of DIY videos on Youtube. Problem is, some of those are very complex. And some don't even list the parts they used.
I don't have the time to build one. I found the one at Powerwerx and decided to buy it since it has everything I need. I could even run a small 110volt inverter...
Yes, there's 2 batteries inside running parallel. The Powerbox is designed to run off of Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. But they are VERY very expensive. ( one is nearly $700) So I did some modifications so it can use lead acid batteries. All I did was remove the large power adapter and...
I went with the powerbox method. I can use the Wolfhaus 12volt connection so I can save the battery power in the powerbox.
It has ALL the USB connections, (QC3.0 USB and USB-C + PD) 12 volt socket, Anderson powerpole connectors, a heavy duty M6 binding post, (that accepts 1/4" ring terminals...
Just so you know, there's an optional cover found at Ford Performance.
You can also find it at Amazon.
Or at Levittown Ford parts...
Received mine the other day. Very easy to put on. Many thanks
If an angled connection was part of the line up, I would have ordered that as well. Thing is, I'm not sure if there's 4 of them. (One pointing left, the others pointing right, up and down,) Or if one can be positioned to any direction.
*looks at tailgate*
Is that a Ford Ranger?
*looks at hitch cover*
Heavens to Betsy! It shore is! :like:
It's a good thing you have that hitch cover. I never would have guessed you have a Ford Ranger.
Oh..wow! I'm glad I waited to see if anyone would find another solution to add a 12 volt power option to the bed. Placed my order today.
You remind me of Scotty on Star Trek. He can find a work around to get the Enterprise up and running. 👍
I didn't want to permanently install a trickle charger so I picked up one of these.
Instruction manual can be found here.
