I'm having a BDS 3.5" lift, UCA's, Fox shocks(rear) and low profile crash bars installed as we speak. Putting Cooper STT Pro's, 285/70-17 on the stock magnetic wheels as well. Hoping I don't need spacers.

Sean,

I'm waiting on my 1.5" spacers to arrive. Any issues installing these. Any noticeable ride difference?
There was rubbing on the crash bar extenders. I had to pull the bumper & remove them. About a 30min job. No noticable ride difference & would do it again tomorrow, as I like the look!

I have a 3in lift with fab tech 1in spacer with 285-70-17 nitro terra grappler g2.
Have the front crashbar loosened and adjusted no rub up front. Have alittle rub
On the rear crashbar do to the weather tech mudguard covering the rear crash bar. Gonna do a mod to the mudguard the should take care of the rub.

Quick question -- where did you get the 1/4" spacers? (can you share a link?) I've been looking for mine....

Apologies -- I guess I should have read on.... you posted the information. I used it and have put them on my truck. I have Ranger Raptor wheels, 285/70/17 KO2s with an Icon leveling kit. No rubbing on the frame at full lock turns now. I did have to adjust the driver's side front crash bar (loosened the 15mm bolts on top, pushed it forward a bit) to stop rubbing there.

All good now and thanks for the information... Here is what you posted a bit further into the

Beautiful....what spacers did you use?

*Edit - n/m, when I first read I thought the 1" fabtech was an additional lift...

If you're rubbing the front crash bar(s), you may want to check to see if they were installed a bit crooked. My driver's side was and rubbed with the same sized tires as you. Get a 15mm" crescent wrench and loosen the top bolts holding the crash bar in, then get a large flat head screw driver and lever the crash bar forward a bit in the frame, then tighten the bolts. Stopped all the rubbing for me. I was amazed at how far forward the crash bars moved.

Eibach 3”/1”
1” bora spacers

FYI In forscan I adjusted my tire size to 2614mm which is equal to the 102.9” diameter nitto has on their website for these tires and I went from 5mph slow to about 2mph fast.(odometer compared to gps) I’ll adjust with the mm size down a bit and report back.

After lots of trial and error I am down to 2520MM on the forscan tire size setting. I’m extremely close now.

Closer than my wife’s car from the factory, which is 1mph off. I’m maybe .5mph off now. Good enough for me.

I think the 285/70r 17's look good and previously ran the KO2's on my F-150. I just picked up a new ford ranger and was just wondering if you should have to regear running a 285/70r 17?

Most guys prolly dont re-gear, but really should as stock tires are around 30.5" dia and these are near 33" tall. So that is a relatively huge increase for a 4 cyl 2.3l engine and drivetrain to deal with. Also when you pull a wheel off, just look at those tiny little brakes. Think of those tiny brakes stopping a lot more mass with the 3" taller tires. Then forget about trying to tow anything. The little 4-banger and associated drivetrain will have been loaded up bigly with huge tires [mass] they have to get rolling and then brake for every stop. Basically upsets every design parameter of these little trucks.

IF these trucks had a beefy V6 turbocharged, and big brakes with at least 40% more stopping capacity, and 4.10 axle ratio diffs, then bigger tires no problem. These trucks were not designed for that. Simple harsh truth.

Thank you Brad David and everyone else that posted their 285/70r17 Ranger pics and setups. I’ve got a 10 year old F150 and am going to trade it in for a 2020 Ranger. I want to do exactly what you did.

One question though...

I believe those stock wheels are 8” wide, correct? If I’m reading the wheel tables right isn’t that too small for 285’s? Obviously it works for you, but wasn’t sure if you had to check that first. Am I missing something?

Thanks again - this is a great thread!
