Hi all,

Just curious. With the right amount of trimming, would it be possible to fit 35x12.50x15s on a 3" suspension lifted Ranger without swapping the front bumper? I've seen 33s and 34s fit but I would prefer to go with a 35 for appearance and off-roading.

Cheers,
Cam

I would say no, and 15's will not fit over the brakes. 16" wheel is the smallest.
I was not aware of this! Thank you for pointing that out.

* Any further update? ive picked up fox's 2.0 coil over kit with 3in lift, icon UCA's, and some 17x9 +20 wheels- was going to remove the crash bars completely and try to fit Nitto/ BFG 35x12.50 - but wanted to see if anyones pulled it off.

I've seen 6 in lift kits that advertised the ability to fit 35s.

Fabtech says you can fit 33s on their 3.5 inch lift that includes new crash bars. This is the lift I plan on going with.

With that said you might be able to fit 35s if you are determined enough. ;)

Been doing alot of reading about tire fitment from members here and elsewhere, 32/33's are about as tall as ive seen without a major suspension overhaul and thats usually with 2.5-3" coil overs upfront. Width is a whole other issue, most with 285s are cutting the crash bar along with a stage one lift. .... Ive decided on a stage one Fox/Icon kit with 255/75/17, ive seen pics of several with that setup and it appears to be a winner.

What offset wheels did you go with? Just saw some guy running 285/70/17’s on 17x9 +20mm offset on STOCK fx4 height with the crash bars pulled back. Almost certain true 33’s or 34’s will fit

Gonna run the stock wheels, but the black ones, a 255 is stock width 10" so there should be no need for any modifications beyond the stage one coilovers...

I'm running 295/70/17 with -12mm offset. Had to remove the crash bars and slight trimming on the bushwacker flares that I put on. You can run 35's with a 3.5 in lift front and a 1 inch rear. I'm positive that you'll need to trim more for 35's.

I’m running 285/70/17 on stock sport wheels with a 3” level lift from @Fordrangerlifts.com i didn’t want to remove crash bar so some 1/4” spacers did the trick. If you get the right offset you should be good. Guess the question is what’s the best offset....

ProComp, BDS and FabTech sell modified crash bars (aka intrusion beams) if you don't get a kit that includes them.

FabTech recommends 20x9 with +30 offset with 33s on their 3.5 inch lift.

The gallery at customoffsets.com has a hand full of Rangers with lift and tire and rim offset info as well as any trimming and rubbing info that you can look at for ideas. You can filter by vehicle.

There is also a "master fitment" thread on this forum that you can look at.

Good luck deciding on your tire and rim combo.

Here she is in all her glory. I will get better pictures when the snow melts. Really happy with this build! I feel like I could have pushed for 35s but the 315/70/R17 KO2s equate to 34.4" in diameter so close enough I suppose ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Required a crash bar delete but that was it for now. I plan to trim the wheel well liner since there is some minor rubbing going on when the wheels are fully turned. Does anyone have suggestions for caloborating the odometer? It would be great to have my mileage calculated properly.
