Just installed the tailgate damper an hour ago. Works great! Got it at the ford dealer I bot truck at.

That Bead Maker is the schitt! Works awesome! Just bot another gallon, used a lot on my F250 before it turned into a Ranger.

Agree!
Thanks for feedback.
Surprised how long it lasts even after a few rains. Tailgate shock almost as good. Small cool item.

Installed my lower grill guard.
install not that bad, just have to work at pulling lower part off, then remove and attach all the clips. The work is getting the prongs on the clips straightened out. You must put clips back on lower piece. This makes for a very easy install.

Negatives
Rest of grill is 3D while lower new grill is 2D. Flat. 3D would have been perfect but 2D gets the job done. Make sure you push down to curved piece before you slide and stick tape.

Positives.
Strong - will protect even if a bird hits it.
less damage to exposed AC coils.
completes the look.
Easy install. Cost good.
A must do project till someone does a 3D.

From - Putco.
Sold through Stage 3 Motorsports.

First nice afternoon in a while so installed my front fender side grills.
A nice project. Used the rewards points from my truck purchase to get through dealer. Many pictures.

Easy to remove with good tools. The metal one is best. 4140 air craft panel tool. Tough and precise. Smooth finish. Used two tools to get under back edge. Little leverage and tape pops loose. Rubber fender badge surface means it is not stuck as hard. OE badge does technically vent. Has a very small drain hole at bottom.
Little air however.

New vent likely does vent. But most comes from area under cowl as hole is located here. Some might come from engine front behind lights. Some light seen here with hood open.

Left matte black, as it matches mirror covers, B and C pillars are matte and truck has black tinted windows. Ceramic coated them before install. Taped off to protect from paint. Used high temp matte black. Dry fit and marked edges with tape. Start red strips off and position. Light hold while you remove red pieces.

Finally a few days without rain.
Washed the truck yesterday.
Dressed tires today.
Added ceramic coating to headlights, side mirrors and trim around side windows so far.

Ever since getting my Ranger I have had a noise from under the dash on driver side. The sound was like wiring rattling against plastic.
Last week I was cleaning the interior and looking around I reached up under the dash by footwell only to discover an old friend. If you have read earlier posts here I found several pieces of black tape in my engine bay when new. I think they are used to hold wire harnesses during assembly. I touch something under the dash and out came a piece of black tape. No more odd sound after this.

So weird you are finding tape everywhere. I am going to have to go on a "treasure hunt" tomorrow. You think the lower grill insert is a good part? I have been thinking about it...

I first found tape in the engine while I was looking around after buying new. Then I searched for all of it so it would not fall on down pipe. Others have talked about burning smell at time so I wonder?

I have seen in other car maker videos tape like this used to hold wiring diagrams on a board that it used to prepare harness for assembly line. The boards sent back to supplier for reloading.

Tape from engine when I found.

Auto Start Stop - deactivate.

Installed my bypass cable so I can choose to not have start stop activated. Yes, I could press the button each time I start and 95% of the time I do this but doing the same thing over and over and over is insane.
So followed the video which covers most items. Make sure you are getting the right plug. The one under the start stop button. Little hard to reach. The guy in video makes it looks easy but he has likely unplugged this 10 times before. It is easiest reached sitting in drivers seat. Just figure out how to position hand to push lever and pull plug.
Cable works well. Not an eliminator as you can select to have start stop active each time or have in inactive each time. Depends on mode you are in when you cut the truck off. Trusty tools useful.

Bestop Trekstep rear install.

Little costly as many have mentioned, but if concerned, the money is in the material. Solid metal parts, solid design and nice coating. Install is not bad. At first one wonders how they will get the bed bolt and frame bolt in place but there is room. One just has the find the location. An extra set of hands would make it easier to bolt up but I did get it in by myself. Once bolted in it is solid. In home position it is just under 10mm from bumper. This is with no extra shims added. They supply two if it does touch. I can lift it up a little closer to bumper but even with force it is still 1-2mm from bumper so it should never touch bumper. All fit well and as mentioned it is solid. I will likely extend and retract with hand as I do not want to kick the bumper paint all of the time. I really like how it fits up in the bumper indentation on the bottom edge. Off road guys might not like it extending down in home position but for the most part it is out of the way. For us pavement prowlers it will be perfect.

In the picture I have the step positioned all the way to the right. Toward center of truck. Felt it lined up better with bumper. One can shift over an inch to the left for more step being out when tailgate is down. FYI.

Tape!

Found another piece of assembly tape on my engine, so went on a hunt tonight. With my dogs we flushed the engine with success. Sent them into the tall weeds under the dash and a family of tape let loose. Diving under the front seats they also found the prize. Thanks Ford, as I increased my tape collection this day.
