I would also love some more storage space since i like to keep a lot of junk in my truck. Currently i've got An E-Tool, a roll of ducktape, 4x 500lb ratchet straps, 2x1000lb ratchet straps, 200 feet of 550 paracord, and a tarp under my back seat. I also crammed my ice-scraper and a coat between the seat back and the C-pillar.

Unfortunately looks like we cant get much more space on the driver's side due to the fuel tank being under there.

Now if only i could get a mount for my binoculars somewhere...

My other truck '09 1500 crew Ram had lockable rear floor cubbies, under seat storage for a short rifle, e-tool, flares, etc, frt armrest is a double storage, lower one was a great console vault that as 3" deep by nearly 12x12"... they could have done a better job giving wither cab option more usable hidden storage! the armrest is a joke, its barely bigger then the one in our '16 Escape.

I agree its worth the money, I ended up going with console vault direct and they gave me a Vet discount and said they would extend it to any civilian 1st responders...very cool! just does not have the blue-oval logo.

the armrest is a joke, its barely bigger then the one in our '16 Escape.

The real joke with the arm rest is the latch! no mention of it in the manual and its so hard to convince people that they have to pull the strap straight up to release it!

To those that have installed the safe:

How much of a difference (space wise) is there between having the plastic and the bare steel of the floor? I am wondering if I can gain some extra space by removing the plastic and possibly spraying the floor with bed liner.

Alright got my vault installed today. Super easy to install. Here are some pics. Easily fit 5 pistols including 2 with optics, full duty belt dump and about 1/4 of an AR.

The Pivot Boxes for Right and Left side are great. Lockable and removeable when needed. Place to keep all sorts of Tie downs, Tow hitch, Recovery straps etc.
