Hey all,

I just picked up a 2WD XLT and I’m looking for a bit more aggressive look. I’ll mostly be driving on road with little off road use. I’m planning to go with a 265/70r18 but don’t want too aggressive of a tread due to the nature of my driving mix.

Ideally, I’d want a tire that is quiet on the road, has great wear ratings, and isn’t too stiff.

I’ve been suggested Nitto Terra Grapplers. Do y’all have any other suggestions? I plan to keep the stock wheels and add 1” spacers to get the setup flush with the fenders.

Against popular opinion, I like a little rake. A 1-1.5” lift on the front would be perfect for my opinion but not sure if someone makes that.

TIA!

I like the Falken Wildpeak AT3, I ran them on my Land Rover LR3 and thinking about putting them on my Ranger.

Just go with the Michelin LTX defender and be done with it. You just simply can't go wrong with that choice on a 4x2.

I am the same situation as you are. I am installing 18" wheels and today purchased a set of 275/60-18 Continental Cross Contact LX20 tires. This tire size is good for driving on pavement which I will doing 98% of the time, plus the extra width/height and increased contact patch is a real plus in the looks department.

Are you planning on removing/cutting the crash bars? I like the sound of that setup especially with that size tire.

He will have to. I have 265/70/17's (31.6") and a 2" level and BARELY clear. at 265/70/18 he's 32.6" and will DEFINITELY need to cut or replace the bars.

This user states that he mounted 265/70r18 and had no issues. No lift, no cutting.

That being said, I think the route I will go will be the SVC leveling collars and 265/70r18. I plan to use the BDS intrusion beams as well.

I have SVC, and 265/70/17.

At full lock i have a tiny clearance. Like 1/4"

My wheels are also +25 offset instead of +55(stock)

Good luck with 1" larger tires.
