It's also sharing bad-weather/winter-weather duties with this one too

But it's 2WD & a mundane 4-banger.... So it's limited but I have one of those 300lb water-bags for traction that I'm planning on getting for the Ranger too.

OR my son gets the keys to this one.

I'm selling my 2005 Land Rover LR3 to move to the Ranger. I'm semi retired and build custom furniture so the pickup bed is more useful to me than the SUV body. For the very mild off-road driving we do the electronic locker and 2WD should be fine. And with the rebates on black Friday they were practically giving them away.

There's some gorgeous car friends in these posts.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who made a similar trade (see my previous post). I absolutely *loved* the Mustang, 80k miles of fun, lots of good times, a bit too much lead foot, but always a good story and a head turner.

I would've loved to have kept both, but money doesn't grow on any trees I've found yet. It's only been 2.5 weeks, so I'm sure the pain of missing it will go away soon. I'm happy to be back in a truck (Michigan boy who grew up on trucks, '89 Dakota, '99 Ranger Super, '04 F-150 Screw), and have the ability to have actual passengers and not worry about getting things home from shopping, but I miss the brakes (especiallllly the brakes, them 4 pistons were great) and the handling sometimes, but the Ranger will be many years of fun to come.
That's where I was at too. I traded a loaded 2015 Camaro 2SS with 26K miles on it for my 2019 Lariat. My old 1997 Ranger was getting pretty long in the tooth after driving it for 17 years, so it is semi-retired now. Loved that Camaro and if I had deeper pockets and a place to keep it, she'd still be with me. I still have my other hot rod, which is a 1971 Mach 1 with a 429CJ in it, and that baby stays with me!! Loving my new Ranger too!!

I still miss it, but it's only been like 3 weeks. The Ranger is really amazing, it's well done and very capable.

A 2018 Audi S6, I will miss the 450hp twin turbo V-8 but it won't tow the boat that I want to buy next year. Just listed the car if anyone wants a fast and luxurious sedan.

I'm actually moving from a 2019 Chevy Colorado ZR2. The truck was a beast and no doubt a lot of fun off road but I felt had a significant transmission issue the dealership couldn't get fixed.

Pretty much the same here...except I had a 2017 Colorado Z71 4x4 and got the dreaded transmission "shudder"...after talking with the dealership and finding out that it would be two to three weeks just to get it looked at..well after talking with my wife we decided to get the Ranger and couldn't be any happier.

After reading this, my thoughts are that this is why you do not buy the extended warranty. Now that I’m older and maybe wiser (LOL!) I probably would have had a reputable transmission shop look at the transmission before I traded it in. I definitely would have got an second opinion before I took a bath on a trade in.

A 2007 Explorer Sport Trac. It was a limited, and really nice! I bought it with a blown engine (4.0L) and then I had to have the transmission rebuilt soon after unfortunately.. The Ranger is really close replacement size wise but vastly improved.
